i manage to spend like 80% with Amex living in KV. Even if you are using the Visa I don't think any other card offer more than 2x points and have better conversion rate to EM than this Maybank.

thanks for the feedback. might bundle this with my alliance visa then due to the extra cash back but the EM conversion is really good even with 2x pts. really worth a consideration!

thanks - i called maybank and they told me i can only transfer into primary account holder's enrich account also. most of my spending is local - would i be able to pay with amex as easily as with visa? then it would be an interesting option. anyone can share their experience?

Just do the online redemption, use your address for billing and delivery and enter whatever Enrich number as you wish.

I've done this 4-5 times over the last year and it's gone through fine every single time.

Maybank 2 Premier

5x pts for any spending on Amex

2x pts for local spending with Visa, 5x pts for oversea spending with visa

conversion at 4300 pts to 1000 Enrich Miles
*
conversion at 4300 pts to 1000 Enrich Miles <- from where?

https://www.maybankard.net.my/redeem_form.p...d=2773&enrich=1 <- here still 4500

btw, is enrich having some sort of promotion now? I notice the miles required to redeem is lower than what I checked few months back if I remember correctly.

My apologies. I am sure this has been asked before, but I found it difficult to get any answer.
I have accumulated quite a bit of enrich points but never redeemed it before. Is it more cost effective to redeem for upgrades to business class or for redemption of economy tickets?
Though I enjoy business class a lot when I travel alone, I do plan to take my young children to UK one day and I am thinking that getting them business class is probably too indulgent.
What do you guys think?

it is only worthwhile to claim business class to Europe / NZ.

Just saw this.
I tried searching some flights to Europe, Paris & Amsterdam.. 27.5k points for business class 1 way doesn't exist....Notice they don't display the points required upfront anymore.

Trying to confuse people.. bravo! If this is the way for MAS moving forward, bagus. Sure close shop.

If you're redeeming directly for business, UK is the worst possible place to fly to simply because you pay significantly more for airport tax to London compared to Paris or Amsterdam.

If you're upgrading from economy do note that you can't buy the deep discount economy flights, only higher fare classes allow upgrades using Enrich miles.

Whether or not it's indulgent is definitely your call but I like that you're at least thinking about it. I personally think it is indulgent, but I'm equally guilty, I already booked CX business class tickets for my kids to the US for end of the year. I make sure they're aware that it's not normal though biggrin.gif

Promos are far more limited now, KUL to Europe does not include Amsterdam or London anymore. Australia is limited to Perth, Adelaide and Darwin only.

Oh well, the good days are over. Bye bye Enrich for me.

TQ for sharing.

The previous was 50% off flying to Europe. Now only 30% off flying to Europe.

SO COOL
The first thing MAS does is F*** over people who support them - especially those who fly MAS to get Enrich. That's a brilliant strategy IMO.
