Mortal Kombat & Wing Commander was made into a movie. I would look foward to upcoming movies like Silent Hill, Far Cry, Halo & Prince of Persia.

Eh? Go Wing Commander movie meh?? Since when? I really no idea on that.

Frankly, most games=>movies sucks big time.

But below are the possibilty of a great movie:

Ninja Gaiden!!! (this if can rope in martial arts master like Yuen Wo Ping to do the stunt direction, can turn into a mega action blockbuster!)
Omnimusha ( Get Takeshi Kaneshiro and that french dude to star in it!! More authenticity!!)
Jade Empire ( Unique settings and costume )
Fatal Frame Series (but we've already too many Japanese ghost movies like this)
Grim Fandango ( as suggested by Naviink, this game has excellent story and humour. Lucas should really turn this into a movie since he already has a Lucasfilm division).

for me , many games into movie no so good ler!

full load of politics between houses davion and stiner, huge mech raining havoc in a populated city, gore and lots of big explotions.

Actually a Mechwarrior movie is already announced a few years back in 2003. Rumours has it that Paramount Pictures has already snagged the rights to make the movie. The movie is expected to use massively cool CG mechs. So far, no news since then, would love to see a Mechwarrior movie. Been quite a long time fan since the original series, that time it was called "Battletech".

Also a "Splinter Cell" movie woudn't be a bad idea.

halo is already in production.... with peter jackson producing no less, so the chances of suckage are considerably lower, but still entirely possible (lets face it, there hasnt really been a successful video game to movie conversion).

furthermore, the developers bungie have a tight grip on storyline possibilities... but unfortunately no actor or director have been attached yet... hopefully peter jackson will direct himself

recent rumours : the movie will take place sometime during 'the fall of reach' (needless to say to all halo-fans, this is AWESOME if true)

Halo will be JUST ANOTHER alien (covenant) movie...they ill never be able to top the Aliens of James Cameron...

sigh. why do people ALWAYS mix up producing and EXECUTIVE producing? Producers got tonnes of power, executive producers (which is what PJ is doing on Halo) basically just fork up the cash with hardly (if any at all) creative power so its a superficial position. After all, Spielberg executive producing MiB2 didnt keep it from sucking did it? and didnt Clooney say recently about Syriana that 'anyone who can come up with X amount of cash can be an executive producer'?

If they are really making a Splinter Cell I hope they create an all new original storyline and a different agent, Sam Fisher is really getting too old for the job. In the game we never really got to see others "Third Echelon" agents much. Would like to see how they utilize the "Trifocal Goggles". Heard when the first game was being developed, Tom Clancy himself disapprove of the idea of having a triple-lens type goggles, now it became the signature trademark of the series.

Still waiting for "Double Agent", looks like Sam has gone rogue this time.

there are a few zone of the enders anime out there....but i would rather see choose transformer movie over any mech movie....

honestly i cant think of many games which could be made into a decent movie. either what appeal they have as games wont work in a movie (ie: Doom where the fun was shoot shoot shoot) or the storylines are just too...cheesy (ie: FF, MGS).

I thinking about Onismusha or maybe Need For Speed Underground..

Onimusha would be good. But NFS i don't think so since we can jsust watch 2 Fast Furious or The Fast and The Furious.
