hi guys

kenwood 50watt x4 player with jvc front
and 300watt oxgen rear 6x9 speaker
is it enuf to boost the bass
for normal nice listening

or i need amplifeer to boost that 50 watt to 300watt?
pls advice

enough la. dont waste money if u want normal listening. 3 way speakers come with woofer already.

they claim sound to be nicer

U can in fact ignore the Wattage rating for ur head end n speaker.. 300W speaker is non sense rating.. it is probably only a 50W @ 4 Ohms RMS speakers..

most head end state 45W or 50W.. this is program rating. in real.. it is only 20-25w @ 4ohms per channels..

What's enough mostly depends on the listener. If you've already got the setup in your car, just listen to the bass and ask yourself if you're satisfied. You could also try to look for some friends who've got other setups and compare but warning; once you hear a better setup you'll wanna upgrade wink.gif

too many enclosure selling for 6x9 at many audio shop... eunos @ rm 70 only.... not claimed, but fo shure much better 6x9 with simple enlosure, and small enough to fit iat the back.... rclxm9.gif

unless u r having a tight budget ... if possible juz get a comp set ...
bout rm400 ++ u can get a pair of pegasus lowe st range comp it sound kinda impressive even though only driven by a low end pioneer CD HU

oh ya then for future enhancement u can juz add a 4 ch amp n a sub ... try not 2 have a rear speaker as it would affect ur front staging n upfront bass

i think for the future.. youi should chooce between the 6x9 or a sub... as a good 6x9 will produce the same bass as a 10" sub if both of them has the same wattage...

but having both of it in a system will ruin your overall staging...

comparing it with the same power rating and on free air setup... ie. a pair of 50WRMS 6x9 with a 50WRMS 10" sub... they both create the same loudness on the bass but of cuz sub will hav the lower frequency...

do u know the different if u use a same amp to drive 2 speaker having the same wattage but have different sensitivity???

any recommandation of average 6x9 speakers?

budger arounf rm 200..can top up abit more if is good~

some 6x9 build in with tweeter....good to get it?
