U can in fact ignore the Wattage rating for ur head end n speaker.. 300W speaker is non sense rating.. it is probably only a 50W @ 4 Ohms RMS speakers..
most head end state 45W or 50W.. this is program rating. in real.. it is only 20-25w @ 4ohms per channels..

What's enough mostly depends on the listener. If you've already got the setup in your car, just listen to the bass and ask yourself if you're satisfied. You could also try to look for some friends who've got other setups and compare but warning; once you hear a better setup you'll wanna upgrade

oh ya then for future enhancement u can juz add a 4 ch amp n a sub ... try not 2 have a rear speaker as it would affect ur front staging n upfront bass

i think for the future.. youi should chooce between the 6x9 or a sub... as a good 6x9 will produce the same bass as a 10" sub if both of them has the same wattage...
but having both of it in a system will ruin your overall staging...
cheers...

comparing it with the same power rating and on free air setup... ie. a pair of 50WRMS 6x9 with a 50WRMS 10" sub... they both create the same loudness on the bass but of cuz sub will hav the lower frequency...
