downgrade to Lexus's hybrid bike??  tongue.gif The rider has a choice of Eco or Power modes, while the all-wheel-drive bike also mimics the regenerative braking of the Toyota/Lexus Hybrid Drive System by recharging the lithium-ion battery with the kinetic energy captured whenever the rider squeezes the callipers.

I think the sports mode that make the engine wont stop and electric motor more on acceleration......

Now about half my petrol usage is contribute to paying my monthly installment as my mileage almost 4k every mth...

If I travel 8k a month, basically the pay back is same to my installment.....

I sent my car to wash yesterday to find out that the lower metal bar's paint just beneath the doors were forming like... bulging bubbles. I really dunno how to describe it, but when u feel them with your hands, it's like bulging bubbles. Wonder if this happened to any of yours PC. I would share the pic soon later and also send my PC to Toyota to ask if they could do something about it.
*
Is not form, is already when u bought....just did not check thoroughly

I go ask SA & he show the new PC at show room also got the not smooth surface....

Solution install side skirt or past carbon fiber sticker....

Yes it is a sensor for
1) safety belt- if detected ppl sitting but din put on safety belt, making pip sound.
2) alarm- if detect movement inside the after you lock the car, trigger alarm sound. I tried this b4 sitting inside the car and lock the car, the alarm triggered after a while(~30sec)
Not sure any more function.
*
I tot is a super small tweeter.... doh.gif doh.gif

Besides, someone mention tat there is a dummy safety buckle, i think tat not neccessary...

I at time my work requires to drive every few hundred meter to come out car and check something so is a hassle to buckle & unbuckle some more with the safety belt alarm....

So wat i do is take the passenger belt side and buckle to driver side, no noise no warning, this is also I driving alone....

Please do follow this act, this act is done under own risk

thanks....

Need some opinion here,
What type of oil for yours 3rd times onward service?
There is fully Synthetic and Synthetic Formulation, which 1 u guys prefer?
price different ~RM110. think both also for 10k KM
*
Theoretically Semi Oil is design about 7k to 8k the most, when at 7k or 8k, u will feel something... you can check around...unless u just 1 cheap...

Fully is design for 10k...

the service people say is same bcos is easy for them manage only since is standard at 10k..... is your choice to believe them....

My theory maybe 3rd to 4th maybe still acceptable but after that better use fully, as 1st and 2nd & 3rd service already change early...

I have someone vios owners say their car engine not smooth for about after 1.5 years, by calculation shud bout 30k or more d, if frequent or klang valley driver

I ll send mine for 3 rd service next weekend. i ll go for fully....

I asked the supervisor abt it when i was servicing. He said all oil the same for Prius c as long as stick to 5k service. Syn oil is for hot/high torque engine(racing engine) so that the oil won't break down easily. As for Prius c, not much different and effect. So, I stick with mineral oil as I will service my car accordingly. Just my personal opinion.
*
this is my opinion, i have read thru many things about engine oil....

Oil is of cos oil....

But the viscosity play a role.....

New engine is better put lower viscosity oil is can thru the tight places where thick oil cant get there....

Some new engine if use thick oil may cos problem where some part the thick oil cant reach there.....

Besides, thinner oil, lower viscosity oil is lighter in weight, higher temp range, better lubrication & protection....

if calculate if every 5k, u ll paying more labour ( toyota labour not cheap), parts and etc and more time send to service, u calculate yourself....

Every 5k, too fast for me....

then ppl who sometimes service at 5k delay their service some to max I heard from previous is 8k for mineral oil.....

U save the on engine oil but destroy your engine in very long term.....

I personally would not 1 risk a 100k car for the extra RM110 EO.....

If the above the supervisor, gimme that remark, my response is Toyota can guarantee after 100k KM the engine will not have issue if follow is his instructions.....

Replying the service part. Think toyota UMW just want more money so ask u service every 5k km.

In USA. they service every 10k mile. haha.. so figures.

Want to change fully synthetic but Toyota one is not good enough.. 5 - 30W.

After warranty end of after one year. Think i will self service like beck ken and use back mobil 1 fully synthetic. My old car use it and 10 years totally no problem.

I believe in Mobil 1 more than toyota oil. ^^ just my 2 sen.

Anyone know when our battery will ko for the small battery ?

Scared can't start engine once the battery died. as no indicator in the car.
*
just plug & play at cigarette voltage stabilizer tats comes with volt meter

I heard brothers about 60 to 70, i got mine from other shop for 70, i can c my voltage always show 14.3V...

when service just take it out....

I also take out my old voltage stabilizer & plug in all, when service time remove it...of cos i use cigarette lighter power splitter.......

correct

FYI, according to the wiring, hybrid batt & normal battery is somehow connected to each other indirectly...

Is the battery small or normal standard size as car battery?? i wonder how can it fit under the seat?? what is the use of the car battery if we have the hybrid battery?

can we change the battery outside rather than at Toyota since it is command?
*
anything change, recommend after warranty

normal is a same like normal, wet batt lo...the back seat is higher compare to normal...

hybrid batter kenot keep the current very long, norm battery can keep few days to a week....

normal batt to run equipment for 12 volts....

both is 2 different batteries for different application....

What do you mean hybrid battery cannot keep the current very long ? NimH battery can last for a month at least, Lead-Acid battery can last even longer when not being used.

The 12V Lead-Acid battery in Prius C has the conduit to lead the hydrogen gas outside of the car, so you cannot simply buy the normal 12V battery to replace it, otherwise Prius C may get exploded if hydrogen gas accumulate to a risky level.

sorry not correct explanation, yours would be the correct explanation...

in fact how long our PC's battery warranty? 3 or 5years? and any limited mileage?
*
IINM, 3 yrs or 100k, even for batt....

My calculation for the battery cost..

Lets say use for 400k KM so the operating cost per km will be 8k/400k so is RM0.02/km

Lets say use for 200k KM so the operating cost per km will be 8k/200k so is RM0.04/km

Lets say sell the car before the above mileage 0 cost.....

Besides, some is getting like RM0.05 or RM 0.09 per km is almost same as modded 150cc or a 250cc bike....(figures obtain from fuelly.com)

If put to consideration of both, per km petrol is only about RM0.07 to RM 0.13, still lower than conventional cars
