Dear Forumers,

I would like to ask any experience LYN member to guide me (or other forum member) on giving us a complete detail "Replace motherboard capacitor for dummy" guide.

I had search trough google but the guide given there seems to be either too brief or too technical.

The main thing that u need to have is the soldering iron, the sucker and the correct value of capasitor with some skills and luck. Becareful with the mobo and dont screw up nearby capasitors and transistors.

huh?u dunno sanyo occon is the best capacitor out there?another ns capacitor is rubycon.all high end GC and mobo manufactured using sanyo occon, it looks pretty too tongue.gif
good capacitor can enhance OC result and stability, since the voltage r more stable
but dun dare do tat lol, later open computer liao "bammmmmmm!" then siao liao!

i have changed my caps last time, not all a few and but mainly add in for which one is missing from it's original location.

you can go for rubycon caps,

for best quality go for solid aluminium caps

if only the cap broken, yes! can replace...
if the cap not broken, also can replace with better quality one to improve some stability when overclock...

nah... most of the electronic component shop don't offer high quality caps like rubycon, nichicon, sanyo, panasonic etcetc... you gotta order it online. which cost you bomb. even it's rsmalaysia.com

they sell in a pack of 5. rclxub.gif which are pain in the arse if you planning to buy just a few.

I did a cap mod last time but i dont see any difference. So before knowing what part is hitting the wall, cap mod is useless.

if you asus user, droop mod will help you

cap mod can increase all the lifespan of the component on the board
since it provide more stable voltage
unless u use cheap chapalang psu sweat.gif then nothin to blame...
