1.6" is the standard diameter for myvi piping right?im using manual tranny
before this im using this spec:
myvi stock extractor---------1.6" piping---------swirling bullet(1.5")-------1.5" piping-------straight flow muffler(2.0 inches)
from gear 1 to gear 2...it accelerate more faster..pick up..but the sound not garang
4-1 custom extractor-------1.6" piping---------------swirling bullet(1.5")------1.5" piping--------straight flow muffler(2.0 inches)
from gear 1 to gear 2..it accelerate slower..but i can feel the power in gear 3 and 4...the sound not bad
now:
4-1 custom extractor------1.6" piping------swirling bullet(1.8")------2.0" piping--------straight flow muffler(2.0"inches)
from gear 1 to gear 2..it accelerate slower..and the power in gear 3 and 4 kinda lack too...the sound kinda loud
so i need you guys opinion whats the best setup for me?cuz im more prefer pick up plus i love the loudness of muffler's sound too

QUOTE(netmatrix @ Dec 19 2012, 03:09 AM) u know your engine small and require small piping to make adequate power to move the vehicle. So if u increase the diameter of the piping anywhere after the manifold, u are only changing the power band arrival. U know why? Because small engine can only pump and vent only so much air. So in order to keep the power constant, u need small diameter pipe to retain some back pressure for the next combustion cycle. Yes there are so called rally experts that say back pressure no good. But they are running turbo engines. This they never even thought about. NA engine different. Really u spend RM600-1000 on an exhaust system only to find the power changes between gears and not overall. And changing exhaust system does not give you any power increase unless u do something to the engine. Its always psychological factor so just give me some nice setup...tq
