Thanks for the all the reply. Been doing some research online, seems like the quality also varies between models in the same brands...

QUOTE(Tyrant Sparda @ Jun 8 2013, 10:04 AM) actually bootlegs is an advantage IMO. some ppl use them for kitbash and customization while some brands add to the design variation (McModel, GoGo, RC etc) which B*ndai dont have. Quality wise, imo is impressive for the price paid. I've bought a bootleg hg wing zero custom back in around year 2000, and the quality is horrible. But the ones I just bought its really good. Maybe because I bought an old model which may have between improved several times.and yeah, while being cheaper for the price you cant complain the quality for what u paid forĀ This post has been edited by sphiroth: Jun 8 2013, 10:22 AM |

QUOTE(Tyrant Sparda @ Jun 10 2013, 09:53 AM) heard rumors dat elynn hobby Kshatriya release will be delayed....(or scrapped) maybe Actually, I'm torn between kshatriya and sinanju. Since sinanju doesn't get quote good review, I'm eyeing on unicorn full armor.even some seller cancelling PO and giving refund. hopefully sumone can verify this..... |

Anyone got problem with using top coat? My MG Wing Zero polycap kept breaking one after another after applying top coat.

QUOTE(limfreelance @ Jun 11 2013, 04:42 PM) do u shake well bfore topcoat??? If not, the thinner is overlay on the paint & broke your plastic. Already shake well, and before the Wing, I used it for my Bandai VF-25, no problem. And yes, its the inner parts that broke, and parts become loose. Should have only top coat the armor, but the wing doesn't have actual skeleton (old model). No doubt, the inner frame of GG/TT, is very fragile, but the ammor is OK. Btw, i sold my broken PG wing as accesories spare part to ppl. bfore i spray my wing, the joinment r tight, after spray, & dry, i play it & then felt loose & sunden a peices keep fall out. Btw, recomend u to test Daban gundam, the plastic very good, even u snapfit it with force, it wont broken. If u play or like zoids, the BT plastic Lagi ganas, very hard, & tight....than the original. |

QUOTE(limfreelance @ Jun 11 2013, 05:00 PM) tt/ gg is like that, bcos the wing is Old version. The reason I went for TT is because I want the Wing Zero Custom. I also considered Bandai version, just it doesn't make sense to buy such an old model. If i my memory served me well, from the 001 - 020 series of TT/GG, the plastic r fishy, after the no of 020 above, they said got improvement of plastic quality abit lah. GG/TT have many choice of gundam but poor quality, but recently Daban have lead the Head of GG with the release of famous Gundam...like PG strike. Well, i recomend u to test the daban Gundam, it is good in term of detail & plastic. for your mg wing, u just need a elephant Glue. What model does Daban offers? Eyeing on Sinanju, Unicorn or Kshatriya. |

QUOTE(TheGreatBahamut @ Jun 11 2013, 05:13 PM) BT zoids quality really nice, solid and the colour also look good. But I always trim the male peg before snap fit if not it will be too tight for me to dissemble later for painting. Better don't paint. Armor is ok, but inner frame is definitely no....really frustrated because of this. But the wing looks really great after coating. Will upload the picture after I get home.Damn I have a GG MG Wing that half way assemble, plan to paint it... I think I better don't paint the inner frame. |
