Many first time in this build. My first bootleg kit, first time hand painted, putty, create panel line, water decals, minor modification.
So the result won't be so nice, pardon me for my noob build.
This kit still require panel wash and the funnel system, weapon still not yet build. And I will do mirror effect on thruster.
C & C are welcome. smile.gif

yeap tongue.gif i saw it! is it really your first time building a bootleg kit?
anyway it's looking great! the details look amazing but the red looks a bit, not a very smooth finish, like on the back of his legs.. but the shade looks great! keep it up tongue.gif

Thanks for the compliment. smile.gif
Ya, my first bootleg kit. The reason I bought it is because of the details and saw many good comments about it that time.
Hand painting is pretty hard especially with lacquer paint. Initially I want to spray it and ignore the lacquer paints I bought. But ascentic bro asked me to try it out, so I decided to take my first step on hand painting. The back of his legs actually I done some panel line but I covered it back with putty, so the surface not that smooth even though I already sand it for many times. Other red color part actually look smooth, maybe my lighting not good when I taking photos. But I guess main reason is I still noob, so the result not that good. sad.gif Still need to gloss top coat it, hope it will look better.
Anyway this kit really fun to build and look nice, it will be a meaningful kit to me because I tried out many modeling skills on it for the first time! biggrin.gif

end result does not matter as much if u had fun working on the kit brows.gif there's always room for improvement, even for me i have never tried hand painting, only marker painting and spray painting.. i'm still very bad at these 2 though tongue.gif but i enjoy working on the kits and detailing them up.. maybe i will revisit them when i improve tongue.gif will try hand painting soon though, got some kits that are just screaming to be painted up laugh.gif
in the meantime, don't worry that it doesnt look that good, rest assured your next one will definitely be better! icon_rolleyes.gif

Haha you are right. Practice make perfect. smile.gif I really enjoy the fun on detailing them up. Maybe I will grab another Sazabi Evo when my skill improve for comparison. After finish this, probably will move to 00 Raiser or Zoids kits. Still got many backlogs waiting to be clear lol...

Lacquer paint is the strongest paint. You need airbrush and lacquer thinner (Mr.Hobby Leveling Thinner) to use these paints. The advantage of lacquer paint is that lacquer paint dry quickly, has a smooth texture, very strong and not easily scratched, and easy to use. The disadvantage is, it has a very strong chemical odor. Thinner smell better than it. laugh.gif

i'm quite excited as well but as a student still.. it's hard for me to shell out such a huge amount for one single kit, as awesome as the kit may sound..

however i'm very interested in how the parts are and how they work.. please do take some pictures and do a bit of commenting in the form of a review when you've gotten your kit!
*
Same here... Want buy B*ndai MG also need to think twice, China one easy la. biggrin.gif
So, I can only enjoy expensive kits by looking at people's reviews. laugh.gif

better to sell off your built ones and get the bootleg brows.gif at least can earn about 40-50 per kit.. that's an earnings of about 200 and you can have the enjoyment of building them again! brows.gif
*
Good idea. I will wait till they come out the five units then grab in one shot.

I've seen your blog.. very pro job.. I think it may take years for me to master the skill man..  rclxms.gif As for now i'm just a straight build newbie and do abit of panel lining and hopefully some minor painting if time permit.. Don't have the luxury of time to practice due to work and study commitment.
*
I also same condition as you. There are a lot of thing that I want to learn but don't have spare time to do it.
