When you reach the quartz area, that's where the danger starts. So don't slip or you'll end up down the hill. The last time I went up there, I only went halfway to look at the sunrise from the top.

OK, since someone brought this up, I am going there this Saturday morning.

Tomorrow's my climb there. Starting at 6am hopefully. Just to picture the sunrise.

Actually is ok if you still want to go. As I still go with a group of us. The fastest we ever record was 2 hours 30 minutes for the whole climb.

the only staircase i know is the one heading to the river.

jc, please tell people to not disturb any wasp nest that's around.
My bro's friend got stung while climbing and walking back down, and the gang of people in the front was breaking a wasp nest and the end the guys at the back got stung.

Please nature lovers, don't spoil the climb for other climbers.

Which ridge? The one on the way to the dam, there's one trail, but I haven't tried it. Some of my friends tried it and it goes all the way up and down the durian farm area. More like jungle walking though.

I will be going up this Saturday... maybe around 5 of us + my bro's gang = 10 I guessed. Mixture of guys and gals. Well, my group will consist of few photographers. Meeting around 7am. See anyone's interested. Or I'll just post some photos when I'm back
