Hello everyone, bump into this thread after some goggling.

My friends (2 other guys) and me were planning to try Bkt Tabur this weekend (since its public holiday). If there is a group from LYN going up this weekend, can we join?? icon_rolleyes.gif

All 3 of us are first timer at Bkt Tabur and ex-college student as well la. Initially we were planning to go up a few weeks ago but the weather doesn't seems to allow us to do so ...... tht's why delayed till this week. Hopefully the weather is good. notworthy.gif Have to sembahyang kuat-kuat.

Weekend is approaching fast so hope to see reply soon.

Alamak kalaso_85, don't think can go on 22 June la, we got other plans on that weekend....if not should be fun to join a bigger group go up.

We are still going on with our plan this Saturday (7 June). Anybody hiking up on the same date??. Target meeting time is 5:30am at the Klang Gate Dam gates. Hope to be able to catch sunrise when we reach the top.

Actually need some help and advice from those with experience on this route since we are first timers. Anything we need to be cautious? Any tips on the route? Starting point of the route? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi

I am thinking of going up alone. But read a lot of forums saying the route is kinda hard.

So am wondering whether I can tag along if you guys are going tomorrow?

Our group is about 6 people and thought of going up early to catch the sunrise around 5:30am or 6am. You are welcome to join. Our meeting point is at the gates.

Bukit Tabur is sure interesting to hike ... almost all in one even include traffic noise at the background. biggrin.gif

Share some of my pics taken last Saturday. Didn't had a clear sky for good pictures but on the bright side....no sunburn as well :

I think Gunung Ledang is a very nice place to go as well.... in my memory la becos the last time i was there was like almost 10 years ago. The waterfall and place is clean. Lots of campers. Quite sad looking at the Hutan Rekreasi Klang Gates below Bukit Melawati. So many polluters. Rubbish everywhere. DBKL should do more for the nature than spending their money decorating street lights.

Anyway, I think we should setup a LYN Hiking/Trekking Club. Clubbers can post upcoming events and plans so that others can join in as I see quite a few serious climbers here. Just my 2 cent worth.

Hope she will get well soon. Injuries sounded quite serious and rescue team only managed to bring her to the foot of the hill after about 4 hours.

Cheers.
