could be due to amiami's packaging meant to protect the goods increased the volumetric weight
all my parcels from amiami have around 1-2 inches of buffer zone between the goods and the wall of the parcel

but I never got anything from mandrake so I don't know if the packaging is the same

most shops/sellers don't have many stocks, they mostly do pre-orders
some shops/sellers may not have stock of the Figma you wanted, but they can order for you, you can try asking them
some or most of us here order directly from Japan from sites like amiami.com, hlj.com, etc
