R u using LCD or 4:3 CRT? If u r using 4:3 CRT like me, then u can try adjusting resolution a bit.
For my TV, if i set to max 1280x720 in 720p mode, The image will goes off the screen and i'll miss some of the info, so i set it to about 11xx x 6xx, which is just about nice. I didn't notice much black bar at side when zooming in.

Looks nice but can upgrade or not? I'll need to put in at least 2 PCI Cards (TV Tuner and Sound card...i don't want onboard sound for my HTPC).
Not much of a problem wat, use coax/optical cable. For my TV, if i set to max 1280x720 in 720p mode, The image will goes off the screen and i'll miss some of the info, so i set it to about 11xx x 6xx, which is just about nice. I didn't notice much black bar at side when zooming in.
