sifu sifu sekalian....can winxp use for htcp built or do i need another type of winxp? currently using winxp pro....btw...can i know how u guys connect ur htcp to the lcd monitor? i wanted to buy the new samsung 40inc R8....how should i connect the htpc to the lcd?

and can i still watch astro with htcp and record?

can someone explain for me wat is windows xp media center edition? is it a OS or a program to install???it seems i saw got remote control....

well if i only use winxp windows media player on that 40inch lcd tv...is it clear??btw where can i get MCE?

do u really need that corshair 800mhz ram? well i think 3800 or 3600 can enuf to do the job here...just my 2cent

yea thats wat i have in mind....if u duwan to save cpu then is better to save for ram....from 667 to 800 din have much different...also if u wan better ram i prefer u get crucial which is more better then corshair xms for ddr2 800mhz....well overrall with a 667mhz value ram i think is good for ur htpc...as for mobo i duno abt gigabyte but i currently keep my eyes on asus M2A-VM HDMI i think is more cheaper abit then gigabyte but hey as for mobo u can go for ur choise...this just my 2cent...correct me if i am wrong pls
