Actually every road that is dark and deserted at night can feel like haunted to people's mind.
I've never seen any ghost and i have traveled around a lot of roads in penisular msia and some places in sarawak and sabah too.

I guess the stories about karak old road just makes some people imagine thing but there is a lot of roads in msia that is spooky if your travelling at night.
The ular roads at a lot of hulu places does tend to frighten you at night because of the surrounding forest that can make you imagine things.
The roads to trong, sabak bernam, raub and many more ular roads comes to mind.

Then there is this teluk bahang gaung in penang which have claimed a lot of lives and said to be haunted.
A lot of stories involving a kapcai motor there and i guess many people know about the stories there.

I know the road leading to bukit kepong can make the hair behind back stand up as it is quite a spooky road at night.
I don't know if it's still the same but i traveled through that stretch of road in late 90s and both side of the road is full of high 'lalang' grass which can be a frightening sight when its windy especially at night with no street lights.

Even the lighted streets,Like what someone mentioned about kellie's castle can be a spooky experience if they know the story behind that castle.

Karak highway famous not for ghost but for the accidents. The curves near Bukit Tinggi exit and the huge down curve before climbing to genting sempah tunnel ( from kl to karak direction )..

Most ghost stories are reffering to the "old road" I guess...
*
True,The old road is where most ghost stories comes out from as the highway is more of a accident prone road.

QUOTE(Einjahr @ May 27 2013, 11:52 PM)
my experience was with no kapcai, but a strange old lady hobbling down the road.

We drove past her at the first stop, then we saw her again further ahead down the meandering hillside road from Kundasang back to KK sad.gif
*
It's always strange to see someone on the roadside in deserted road, right?
I had the same experience a few years back traveling through the zig zag road at beruas perak.
It was late night and as i turned around the many corners there suddenly saw a car and a man standing there and trying to flag me down.
I don't believe in ghost and my instinct told me to stop but my wife who was beside me was so scared and ask me to drive on but i have to stop.

I stopped and the man approached and asked me for a lift to a nearby village where his house is located since his car has broke down and there is no phone line at that place.
I did not find anything unusual and sincerely wanted to help him as it was not a great place to be deserted alone so gave him the lift and he dropped just about 3km away in a village.
I smelled something in the car along the way and did not say anything about it but after he had dropped off then i knew the reason for the smell.
Not a great thing to admit but my wife had pee'ed in her skirt out of fear and she had fever for a week shakehead.gif

It was so hard to convince her with my action and that's another long story rclxub.gif

excellent write up, I can feel what went through in every word.
Which road was this again?
*
It was the old road at beruas perak which is a secluded with no street lights and it was a ular road.
People who have traveled through that road would know it.

I would not have stopped if it was in a highway or some main road because there is where the danger lies with robbery much more than ghost.

I think its helpful that you dont believe in ghosts. I try not to think about it so much, never had much of a problem, so when it happens I was prolly more surprised and amazed. lol
But the scary part comes when you try to figure it how that could be even possible in the first place.
*
That's why we human are always learning and with no concrete evidence on some mysterious sighting's,It's better not to think so much about it.
There is a lot of things that we are not been able to figure it out other than ghost.
Even though i don't believe in ghost but the spooky feelings that i or anyone else experiences when we travel through some roads or places is unavoidable because we are human after all.

my friend told me his exp

hentian sungai perak, around 4-5am. he stopped there since he's sleepy so he wants to sleep for a bit.

parked there, stopped the engine and start to take a nap.

Then he starts to feel some unseen hand prodding and pushing him. Got out of the car and slept at the table at the cafeteria until morning.
*
That's actually a big r'n'r so it's a bit strange.
I have friends telling stories of ghost experience in small hentian's especially those with no shops.
I hear many stories from friends stopping at hentian tikam batu but never encoutered any myself.
The only thing that i have seen near that hentian is crocodiles at the lake after sungai muda if your traveling from SP to penang. laugh.gif

I'm still suprised not many stories about the teluk bahang gaung.
I heard so much stories about that place in my teenage years about a kapcai at that place.
So many have claimed to have seen the kapcai speed past their vehicle and go straight into that gaung.

what happened to the mimaland camping trip?
*
It is surely there but camping trip has became a jungle.
My cousin brother who lives in kl has been there a few times after it was closed just to rekindle memories and he saw people fishing in the lake.
The entrance itself is forested and only people who know the place well can find it nowdays.

Though,I won't be suprised if there is illegal immigrants living there since there is clean spring water and also a village nearby.

QUOTE(Far-KingOfSorts @ May 28 2013, 02:21 PM)
We all have six sense. When we feel a sudden 'creepy-ness', its just our sub-conscience trying to tell us that something is there. Most people can sense when someone or something is looking at them...
Typical signs of those beings are:
1) Sudden silence
2) Hair Raising feeling of creepy-ness
3) A smell (awful smell means bad, a fragrant smell means good?)
4) A sudden heat surrounding (bad)
5) A sudden chill surrounding (can be good or bad)
6) Animals run away or just silent or staring at an awkward place like an empty wall
7) Weird an unexplained noises

ermmm...
*
That's a good explanation and it is human nature to feel it that way,No matter if you believe it or not.
I don't believe but i have had that spooky feeling as with most human.
Only people who deny it,Thinks as if they are hero but in truth they are much more scared than normal people.
I would be abnormal if i have no feeling or whatsoever.

Anyway back to topic.

Kedah also has many stories,No kedah people here to share?

The baling old road to SP has many stories in my younger days and i have traveled through the road.
It is nothing but a dark stretch of road but many unsual stories from people there.

sebab dulu highway tu bekas kampung orang asli, so mereka puja "benda" ini

sekarang "benda" tu kacau orang yang lalu highway karak

Ak pernah dgr cerita kapcai superman kat gaung teluk bahang yg motor tu speed lebih dari 100 km/h dan terus terjun masuk gaung.

Bukan 1,2 tapi banyak org nampak.Misteri.......
