QUOTE(corallinkz @ Dec 17 2012, 11:30 PM) can you give me reason why the celcom would be the best, and not maxis. digi is the worst as far as i know even though their postpaid plan is kinda irresistible i am not sure to say celcom is the best or not. my experience is celcom have the best coverage. and this is for their GSM. as for their broadband, they improve much. i used to subscribe to their broadband back in 2009, then it really sucks i keep complaining to them, and even to MCMC. at the end i just ended up the contract. i never tried maxis. then in the year 2010, i got galaxy tab 10.1 as birthday gift from friend. and it comes with celcom broadband. i must say their service is better now. but last week i close the account, because today i took iphone 5 package from celcom. i am sure maxis is good too, judging from the feedback, and digi i know have the worst coverage. |

QUOTE(sang_kanchil @ Dec 25 2012, 11:14 AM) Depends on ur attitude towards the staff thr. Judging from your replies, seems that you are celcom staff or perhaps blind supporter of that telcoAlways believe that if u r nice to ppl, they always respond in kind. Yes, even the street sweeper and toilet washer. Sadly, many ppl are LCLY just bcos they have a bit of money. Did anyone have issue with celcom broadband? Mine is good but sometimes annoyingly my iphone will pickup edge instead of 3g..and that sometimes happens quite frequent. |

QUOTE(kenlui @ Dec 25 2012, 02:01 PM) same here. very frequent drop from 3g to Edge, but coverage wise is better than digi. Long term wise I think celcom is still cheaper than maxis, taking into consideration the 10/20 months rebate. actually the remedy to this is to force the device to just accept the 3g/umts signal rather than edge. which can be done using any android phone/tablet. i have samsung galaxy tab 10.1 and thats what suggested by celcom technical person themselves. and happily getting a strong signal with healthy speed. how i wish ios to have this feature too. hope that when jailbreak we will have this feature. |

QUOTE(leechers @ Dec 25 2012, 04:33 PM) actually the remedy to this is to force the device to just accept the 3g/umts signal rather than edge. which can be done using any android phone/tablet. to all that has gotten problem with 3g signali have samsung galaxy tab 10.1 and thats what suggested by celcom technical person themselves. and happily getting a strong signal with healthy speed. how i wish ios to have this feature too. hope that when jailbreak we will have this feature. for the sake of sharing. i bought a galaxy s3 yesterday (because i got enough of waiting for nexus 4). so what i did was i swap my iphone 5 sim card into my galaxy s3 and use in it. and for iphone 5, i use the old number (my primary number) which dont have any data plan. in galaxy s3 i force the device to only accept wcdma signal only. and the result are great, H+ all the time. no more edge. but the speed are not that great, but it is HSDPA speed not edge speed as previous i encounter using iphone 5. so what can i conclude is. 1. celcom network are not that great (yeah we all know this) 2. iphone 5 dont have capability to choose signal type as android. hopefully in the future they will include this feature. thats the remedy of our weak signal problem 3. no hardware issue in 3g signal (well, at least for my iphone) because the signal fluctuate and it is just like my galaxy s3 before i change the setting. so now my iphone 5 will only use wifi signal. crap. |
