QUOTE(neo_87 @ Jan 4 2013, 10:11 AM) Was in Subang Parade Blue Cube yesterday to sign a contract, but need to get new number. They can't do it here (because they are dealer), only available at celcom centre. Oklah fine, then i opt for outright. They have a lot of stock (im looking for 16 black) but the tricky part, the phone bundled with accessories i.e screen protector & casing. Altogether need to pay RM2499. Get it from Courts. I got two, retail price, no extra charges, no prepaid needed to purchase. The casing price is RM79 + screen protector RM59 (according to the salesman), total RM2199 + 59 + 79 = 2337. OH man they still markup the price. When i asked i just want to get it outright at price RM2199, they say can't because company not allowed to do so. Ok fine, so i just walked out the shop. Entered next to Bluecube, 'IStudy' shop (as stated in mall directory) and supposed they are Apple authorised reseller. Asking for the phone, they sell it at RM2299. I was like whatt??! Then i ask why is Apple Online Store selling at RM2199 and your shop at this price? The lady said oh like that one, our comp bought at 2k++ price, u go to every shop here also they sell approx at this price. Ok fine, again i walked out from the shop. Why every shop selling at different price just to make profit? On my out from the mall, saw the Cube right at the entrance. Asked the boy, yup retails at RM2199 but unfortunately the phone is out of stock. Maybe will be restock in 2 weeks time. Know its not easy to get a unit these days, but frustrated with the sellers attitude just want to make easy profit when the item is hot and oos everywhere plus with the ppl eagerness. Just sharing my experience, as consumer you have the rights and don't get fooled by the marketing strategy. I'm still looking for one, Apple Store will be my last resort. |

QUOTE(kenlui @ Jan 4 2013, 08:27 PM) Just downloaded my December bill. That's strange, maybe their SOP is not that clear. Me and my wife switched to nano sim for free at Bluecube MidValley.Bloody celcom charged me 5 bucks for the nano sim. I double confirmed at the Penang celcom branch while getting the nano sim from the customer representative. She said if u're buying the i5 from celcom, then no charges for the nano sim. If just want to change to nano sim then charge 5 bucks. Now they charged me 5 bucks for the nano sim. Small amount I know, but I called in to the CS @ 1111 to enquire. The CS can't even speak proper english and best part is she said less than 1 yr customer with celcom have to pay 5 bucks for the nano sim. I asked to speak to her manager, she put me on hold for about 10 mins, came back and ask me to go bck to Penang to look for that representative that spoke to me and ask back the 5 bucks for her. For goodness sake, what the hell is wrong with celcom man? |

QUOTE(kenlui @ Jan 6 2013, 10:19 PM) Yeah but logically speaking they shouldn't charge because I bought the phone from them. Oh ya, i forgot to mention, I didn't buy the phone from them. Just changed sim only. But yeah if you bought from them, shouldn't charge for a nano sim change.Nvm, give them till next month to refund me, if they don't I'll make a fuss again. =P |

Anyone have a problem of usage being more than you use? I got up to 1gb a day and I wasn't even streaming stuff.

QUOTE(farishafiq @ Jan 26 2013, 03:13 PM) I exceeded my quota then celcom sent msg that i will be charged for the usage after exceeding. I straight turn off my data. Should i just ignore the warning or not? Call them. Just to make sure. They have a knack for overcharging for their own errors. Dah kena dua kali. |

QUOTE(chokia @ Feb 14 2013, 09:57 AM) Celcom like so evil, i thought it's just hearsay but it's true. I think they changed that policy with the First plan. They will just stop data now, no more slowing down. I guess now we got proof its true. While i was hotspoting, my internet connection halted and all the sudden i received sms from 2888 (celcom) that my data usage already 100% please send broadband vol to 22188 to top up. [attachmentid=3305961][attachmentid=3305962] OMG, this is the worst even for the additional 1GB top up is free, to be disconnected like that is so annoying. Have to wait at least 2 minutes after you hv done with the top up procedure. Dang. What happen to "slowing down the speed when reached 100% usage and speed back to normal after the top up policy"? |

Does anyone have a problem like very high usage that's not even possible? I'm getting like 1.4gb, 900mb, 600mb on some days for browsing and going to Melaka. No video streaming. Just wondering, cause I'm wondering if its valid for me to complain.
For last month, they shut off my data at 2.5gb usage. I didn't know so I just paid extra to get it running. I think something's seriously wrong with their usage tracking. |

QUOTE(rmvalues @ Mar 27 2013, 05:48 PM) are you new Celcom customer or convert from existing postpaid plan to iPhone contract plan ? I went from DiGi to Celcom First + mAdvance 3GB. I converted from exec50 to iP 5 prime + madvance. 2 bill cycles no data usage. My FUP states its 5gb Broadband plan. Upon calling them and telling about my problems. Apparently they have two systems running concurrently. 1. My actually mAdvance 3GB which have 1gb left. 2. 5gb broadband plan which I assume is their old plan. They can't sort out the speed throttling of my account now. Have to wait 3-7 days, which means I'm stuck with slow internet because of their f***ing blunder. I'm really losing faith in Malaysia's telco. When I said that I'm not satisfied with the way things are going because: 1) I had a billshock of 850 and 600 and they barred my line. Twice. My credit limit is RM200. Well done. 2) Going to Melaka will net me 1gb a day usage on average while just browsing. 3) They capped my account data at 2.5gb forcing me to purchase another package (500mb) to get it started again. I thought I was past my 3gb limit. The process can't be reversed. Celcom's customer service really have no idea what they are doing. Almost all the people I'm talking to aren't well-versed with what I'm inquiring. So where do I go? The only option is probably Maxis Surfmore 75. But even Maxis has its problems, unless someone says no. |

QUOTE(rmvalues @ Mar 27 2013, 08:25 PM) Agree with you, all telcos have problem, quite stupdi funny. I ported out of DiGi simply because their phone line was dodgy. By the third time I failed to called my wife when it was urgent, (I was outside and in Kelana Jaya) I decided to opt out. To me, the telephone line should be pristine. Data is secondary.log your report to skmm http://aduan.skmm.gov.my/ I think at the moment, I won't alert and request them to fix my quota problem, since I can use it normally. I will try see can exceed how much quota and still can enjoy high speed ? If they charged me, I'm sure file a complaint to skmm. Why you port out from DiGi ? due to their cheap quality network issue ? If you're ok with their network, then you should try again DiGi new smart plan. QUOTE(decavalera @ Mar 28 2013, 07:25 AM) Thanks for the info bro. Now i know why they still displayed 5.0GB on my Vol Status where as i just downgrade my data plan end of last yr from 5gb rm98 to 3gb rm58 on top of my company call plan. But last month i exceeded my 3gb limit but still no block or speed throttle. Lucky me... That's quite a nifty tool. I haven't JBed my phone but this will be what I'll look for if I do. Thanks!Anyway, if you jb your phone, there is a tweak which able to display current download & upload activity (if there is any) at the status bar (it'll replace the time when there is any activity). It is exactly the same data as the cellular data usage in the setting. So that you wont miss any current download/upload activities without any hassle to manually check the info in the settings. The name is Data Usage Monitor. |

QUOTE(rmvalues @ Mar 28 2013, 10:29 AM) I see. Yeah, that's probably the best option right? I don't have problems with Celcom's line though.I read a lots of feedback from all telcos subscribers, all have their own problem. If you really want guarantee to be reached, you and your wife better carry 2 different telco (C, D, M, U) sim card. Don't carry 2 MVNO (TuneTalk, Happy, XOX etc), cause they are using main telco networks. For example, you use D, and MVNO (Happy), when your D have problem, Happy has too, cause under same network. |

QUOTE(ccmd @ Mar 28 2013, 06:48 PM) Currently experiencing this problem too! 1.2gb in 3 days when most of the time I have 3G switched off since home & office have wifi. They've capped my speed since I'm on the 1gb plan. So fishy because I've only used around 100mb per month before this. This is exactly the same problem I'm experiencing! Did you port out of another telco? My wife's 1gb plan doesn't ever get throttled. This is a problem on their end. I mean c'mon, 1.4gb a day for just browsing and facebook? Bullshit I say.I've called up CS and they can only say I've used it for browsing? What kind of website incur that much data |

@ccmd Yes I tried monitoring my usage using an app and Onavo's app. Both recorded usage as I expected it to be and FAR from what Celcom's amount.

QUOTE(ccmd @ Apr 1 2013, 12:01 PM) Me too. I think there's something seriously wrong with their tracking system. Yeah, I made the mistake of adding 1GB for RM15. Bad news. The speed throttling is still there and I'm stuck with 1.7GB of Internet usage that I can't finish because of the slow speed. Blasted them again for on Sunday. I think I'll give it one more month. So far, every month in my three months brought me problems with their sucky usage tracking, customer service and bill shock. Their CS do not know how to rectify the problem, better I just talk to the wall. That's about the same progress I get from Celcom. Will have to think of where to port out next. Sigh.31/3 - I did not switch on 3G at all but they recorded me as using 175mb of data, 169 mb for messaging? CS was super unhelpful. Can't even estimate how long it'll take to solve the issue. |

QUOTE(rmvalues @ Apr 1 2013, 03:17 PM) If you did not bond to any Celcom contract, then you are freely to port out anytime. Yeah, I'm not taking any plans now. I was suffering with digi's 2 year plan hahaha. I'll probably jump ship to Maxis Surfmore75. No plan of course.I'm stuck on their bad 3G coverage area, half of the time can't really enjoy the 3G, and bond to 2 years contract, can't port out though, unless paid the penalty... What if you tried to bring up this case to SKMM first, let's Celcom work hard and treat your case seriously. |
