Remembered last time some company here are handing out iPods to their workers (iPods are the 'in' thing that time), and those iPods made their way to internet haha.

btw gonna ask for existing Celcom subbers, are your internet being cut or only throttled once quota is reached? Got a bit confused lately.

since midyear last year i never realized that celcom throttled once i hit the limit of 3GB using note. Since I hate my office network (MIS) who is monitoring my internet usage, so I abused the phone data to tether everyday.

Even when i was outside the office, i care less to use Mamak or Starbuck or Penang Free slow wifi when our celcom network is > 7Mbps!

So now with Iphone5 plan celcom add more GB for free.

I asked when I bought my iphone with them.. Was told that they will cut off the data instead of throttling the speed. But the last time I exceeded my data limit they didnt stop my data maybe it'll take a lil while.

Hello!
Newbie question here 😙

I would like to know will it be any charges by telco if i facetime by using 3g? Will it charge me based on data or specific price under video call (let say, 50 sen/min)

2. I noticed that we can facetime by using our number or apple id. Let say if i use my contact number, how will it charged me?

Thanks!

facetime is using normal internet data so basically its free, u only need to pay ur monthly data plan.

the number and apple is used to identify and confirmed ur id since those use for imessage/apple store as well.
on ipad, its use ur apple id instead since ipad dont hv phone number.

I was told the same thing by Celcom CS last time albeit that's when I'm going to subscribe Celcom Biz, but haven't experienced any cut off yet. Looks like they're a bit forgiving.

Guess its the ip5. My wifes ip4s line always more stable & sometimes constantly 1 bar extra than my ip5 signal strength..

I have this issue too b4, I solved it by reset all in the general setting, reset the apn setting too, than restart phone. The make sure the network is manual, choose network manually instead of auto network, then check if the 3G icon appeared or not, if still no, then toggle on off the airplane mode n c whether the icon will appear or not. Goodluck.

have just got my iphone 5 yesterday at celcom kajang.
1st the celcom guy at front said have to take queue number to get iphone 5 because no stock. so i'd decided to get other phone. but then, celcom lady at the back said they have stock. both color. so i take the white one. she takes my prev celcom sim card, cut it and put it to my new iphone. the hp is all good. happy customer. smile.gif

No, I got a new nano sim when I purchased my iphone 5 from them. As long as if u purchase the phone from them, they should issue u a new nano sim. Although I was charged RM10 for the nano sim which I fucuk them kao kao for charging me.
