I went from DiGi to Celcom First + mAdvance 3GB.

My FUP states its 5gb Broadband plan.

Upon calling them and telling about my problems. Apparently they have two systems running concurrently. 1. My actually mAdvance 3GB which have 1gb left. 2. 5gb broadband plan which I assume is their old plan.

They can't sort out the speed throttling of my account now. Have to wait 3-7 days, which means I'm stuck with slow internet because of their f***ing blunder. I'm really losing faith in Malaysia's telco. When I said that I'm not satisfied with the way things are going because:

1) I had a billshock of 850 and 600 and they barred my line. Twice. My credit limit is RM200. Well done.

2) Going to Melaka will net me 1gb a day usage on average while just browsing.

3) They capped my account data at 2.5gb forcing me to purchase another package (500mb) to get it started again. I thought I was past my 3gb limit. The process can't be reversed.

Celcom's customer service really have no idea what they are doing. Almost all the people I'm talking to aren't well-versed with what I'm inquiring.
So where  do I go? The only option is probably Maxis Surfmore 75. But even Maxis has its problems, unless someone says no.

Agree with you, all telcos have problem, quite stupdi funny.

log your report to skmm http://aduan.skmm.gov.my/

I think at the moment, I won't alert and request them to fix my quota problem, since I can use it normally. I will try see can exceed how much quota and still can enjoy high speed ?

If they charged me, I'm sure file a complaint to skmm.

Why you port out from DiGi ? due to their cheap quality network issue ? If you're ok with their network, then you should try again DiGi new smart plan.

I ported out of DiGi simply because their phone line was dodgy. By the third time I failed to called my wife when it was urgent, (I was outside and in Kelana Jaya) I decided to opt out. To me, the telephone line should be pristine. Data is secondary.
*
I see.

I read a lots of feedback from all telcos subscribers, all have their own problem.

If you really want guarantee to be reached, you and your wife better carry 2 different telco (C, D, M, U) sim card. Don't carry 2 MVNO (TuneTalk, Happy, XOX etc), cause they are using main telco networks. For example, you use D, and MVNO (Happy), when your D have problem, Happy has too, cause under same network.

Yeah, that's probably the best option right? I don't have problems with Celcom's line though.

Sometime I have problem with Celcom line. But luckily can switch between 2G and 3G. If 3G line got problem, switch 2G, and vice versa. : cool2.gif

@ccmd Yes I tried monitoring my usage using an app and Onavo's app. Both recorded usage as I expected it to be and FAR from what Celcom's amount.

Celcom stat is more or lesser than your stat ?

Yeah, I made the mistake of adding 1GB for RM15. Bad news. The speed throttling is still there and I'm stuck with 1.7GB of Internet usage that I can't finish because of the slow speed. Blasted them again for on Sunday. I think I'll give it one more month. So far, every month in my three months brought me problems with their sucky usage tracking, customer service and bill shock. Their CS do not know how to rectify the problem, better I just talk to the wall. That's about the same progress I get from Celcom. Will have to think of where to port out next. Sigh.
*
If you did not bond to any Celcom contract, then you are freely to port out anytime.

I'm stuck on their bad 3G coverage area, half of the time can't really enjoy the 3G, and bond to 2 years contract, can't port out though, unless paid the penalty...

What if you tried to bring up this case to SKMM first, let's Celcom work hard and treat your case seriously.

Yeah, I'm not taking any plans now. I was suffering with digi's 2 year plan hahaha. I'll probably jump ship to Maxis Surfmore75. No plan of course.
*
then it's good for you. and thanks to mnp.

you can jump over here and there until you found a satisfactory provider. rclxms.gif

Well, I just got a call from Celcom and they admit that their data tracking was problematic. They gave me 4.3 GB of data for my usage. Since my billing cycle ends on the 8th I requested for 1GB to be used this month and the rest on the next month. This was on the phone. Now I got my speed back. But looks like I just have 1GB to use while my actual usage left is actually 1.570MB. And they're still putting me on a 5GB old plan and not on the new 3GB plan I paid for.

Sigh, at least I have my speed back. I have no idea if they are ever going to put me on the 3GB plan. As much as I like a 5gb plan, the data tracking is horrendous. I get speed throttled for using less than 2GB actual data.
*
since they decided on your favor, just monitor for another months, see how much data you can use and how is everything going on.

glad the hear that they finally listen to customer. smile.gif

Lol like i said the CEO cannot commit to attend to the launching ceremony on 18th as he is either busy with his music or transferring his wealth to oversea before pakatan government replaces him with someone else after the election.

The latter is making a lot of sense.
*
I don't know about 18th, from the insider news, 18th has no event at all.

Currently 50Mbps is max speed. Still no idea about their average speed.
