Is it possible to request Maxis or Digi to sell us GT-N7105 instead of 7100?
Just read news about Maxis's LTE new. Their are allocated 2600 MHz spectrum band for 4G LTE. So, that mean 7105 will work once LTE is commercialise, right? |

QUOTE(LordDenning @ Dec 18 2012, 03:06 AM) what i suggest is, unless you plan to go overseas or what. just get normal without lte. Actaully, Digi already completed upgrade half of their sites to LTE by now and only 2,000+ sites still in progress of convert to LTE. It take about 1 month to convert for each site. Should complete in 2013 and Maxis also already in progress but by how many percentage, I don't know. Malaysia dont have lte yet, and telcos are just only planning to upgrade(not even rolling out) 4G starting 2013. and it wont be really stable to be used just yet. Even now also 3G, not the whole of Malaysia is really covered fully.. Meaning, it will take longer than just next year for us to fully enjoy 4G. So by 1~2 years only you get a 4G phone will be more worth it compared to you get it now. Let's say late 2013 we got 4G, you buy note 2 lte now, wasted 1 year of your phone cannot use it to it's potential and by then confirm got better phones with better specs. like Note 3 etc etc. To be honest, malaysians now also wont really get to enjoy the full use of iphone5 and one of the main 'upgrades' of 4s to 5 is because of lte.. I have some friends who upgraded from 4s to 5. Why? I also dont know. Not like got improved functionality besides loading stuff a bit faster due to the new A6 chips and what not.. If they say screen size, can really What I know Maxis is allocated 2.6GHz or 2,600MHz for LTE which mean iPhone 5's LTE can't support since all 3 type of iPhone sold in the world don't support 2.6GHz. iPhone 5 only support 2100, 1800, 850, 700, 1900 MHz. For Note II, 7100 model don't have LTE and 7105 got LTE and have 3 different frequencies. 2.6GHz is one of them and the other 2 frequencies is 800 and 1,800MHz. Details of Digi LTE upgrade progress can refer this link: http://www.digi.com.my/tomorrownetwork/ This post has been edited by low98944: Dec 18 2012, 08:53 AM |

QUOTE(joytest @ Dec 19 2012, 09:23 PM) You can check their promo page, and it will show the validity, but it seems that all over Klang Valley at least, no telco has any stocks of the GN2. You can always try your luck though. I just find a maxis outlet still got 2 units. This post has been edited by low98944: Dec 19 2012, 09:29 PM |

QUOTE(ReVolVolution @ Dec 19 2012, 09:54 PM) Guys... I think it is useless, since according to wiki, this is 700, 850, 1,900MHz and Advanced Wireless Services. But so far, Malaysia only know can support 2,600MHz. Unless government suddenly allow service provider to use 700, 850, 1,900MHz, this phone LTE totally useless in Malaysia.Am thinking if getting this model of note 2 - SGH-I317M It's LTE and the set is from Canada. What are your thoughts? Appreciate any comments... |

QUOTE(adzyan @ Dec 20 2012, 03:00 PM) Why get from US? Cheap? For US set, the LTE band isn't 2,600 MHz. That mean even Malaysia LTE is ready, this US set also can't use. In fact, only Interenation set N7105 come with 2,600MHz, all the rest didn't support this frequency. |

Every time power on the phone, why Note II keep asking PIN and only 5 times to try?
Can disable this function while still locked the SIM card? |

QUOTE(joytest @ Dec 21 2012, 10:48 PM) This feature is in ALL phones once you enable SIM-PIN. You want a SIM-PIN in the first place during startup to protect your phone, so you obviously can't disable it. So, in future, if I lost my phone and someone pick up and replace a new sim card, can I still track my phone using Samsung Dive? |
