The "fix" is a bit of a workaround.....switch on, switch off.....
This needs a proper patch for the camera.
*
i read and it says it doesn't affect the camera on note 2 but i'm not too sure, as there are too many terms that is beyond my comprehension.

i better not put it in now and just don't install any new apps in the mean time

i wonder how is samsung going to patch this so called critical bug or something. 4.1.3?

scored higher in antutu 18000+ compared to 13000+ but this is rubbish

the rom is smooth but full of features.

hot boot is amazing

battery life was awesome with the previous 1-3

this version can only get better laugh.gif

talking bout navigation, may i ask a stupidity question lolx...

so far im having problem in using gogole maps.. or dunno how to use it

Everytime i turn on GPS then run Navigation apps, it prompt me a message "Google Maps Navigation is not yet available in this location". Then show me google maps, i set the direction and then the maps show me from point A to B and my current location, The problem is .. it wont navigate me as in voice guidance, turn left or right or roundabout ... just showing me a maps like PC version...

How to use navigation ?
*
first

you have to be in a supported country

but

with monxdified rom, you can use it in malaysia LOL

just saying because with monx rom can get so many features!!! worth the root

and even if rooted, just flash back stock and device status back to normal

For this kind of custom ROM, do they use back whatever in 4.1.2 and customizes accordingly? Or is it a fresh ROM that has nothing to do with 4.1.2?
Sorry, I'm a bit noob in custom ROM.
OK... It's backup and restoring time again. sweat.gif
I forgot to backup my SMS yesterday. doh.gif
laugh.gif What is gone means gone, it's OK. Luckily I seldom use SMS these days.
*
its based on the stock poland rom hence the DLK7 label when u go to the page on xda
they then cook it
and becomes custom rom
the monx is really the best looking rom out there with minimal but tastefully done tweaks

What casing do you guys recommend? Flip or full rubber casing?  Otterbox too huge for my liking.  Was thinking of that Samsung NFC flip case.
*
there are many favs around here

1. pu casings
2. hard casings
3. diary type casing
4. mega protection casing

since the note 2 is humongously large, i use the nillkin hard case but itching to try the sand case

zenus is famous too

so everyone is using the monx rom ? with default kernel ?

i'm using Revolution HD 5.0 with redpill kernel working perfectly smooth
*
i was using ARHD 4.0 and Hypernote (my first custom rom)

however, after using those and stock rom, i think i prefer monx the best (i only tried a handful of ROMs, there are many many many more out there)

Omega seems to be a crowd favourite too

Yes i know about this. I am just doing an apple to apple comparison. Not many ppl are willing to sacrifice the thinness of the phone over a good battery life.
Yea..i waited mine for a week in Kota Kinabalu. Lots of my friend posting that they want Note2 so badly lol.
*
correct.. apple to apple is only fair

if like that say, nokia 3310 can standby 1 week on screen time 24 hours, still outlast note 2 =.= if add in yaobao 11,200 external battery, add on another month or so

please pardon me, albeit a user for quite a while, but very new to these flashings. i'm currently on the perseus alpha 27, can I jump straight to the alpha 29? or must I update the alpha 28 first before moving on to alpha 29?

and the security hole  rclxub.gif
still reading on it.
*
have a peace of mind, just download perseus 29, and flash it via CWM (easy peasy)

no need step by step

thinking to root my note2 and try out the monx custom rom.

so just follow the steps on uncle benny's blog which flash the cmw auto root via odin... download and copy the monx's rom into the internet sd of note 2... boot into cwm recovery and select install zip from sd... but before flash.. have to backup the efs...
after flashed to monx.. use the triangleaway remove the flash counter...

do i missed any steps?
*
1. correct
2. monx .zip file copy onto your external SD card
3. corrects

why want to triangleaway?

no matter u TA or not, once u send for warranty (if that's your purpose of TA), then they can see SU installed and back to square one..

skip the TA step la

just wanna get rid of the ugly yellow triangle at boot... tongue.gif

about the titanium backup.. it can be use to backup all the apps data like game save and apps apk?
*
Yes. you can either
1. batch backup and restore (eg: all apps / all apps only / all apps with data and system data etc etc)
2. individual app backup and restore

QUOTE(fruitie @ Dec 19 2012, 11:26 AM)
I haven't downloaded any file for Perseus yet, still monitoring on my battery life with monx.
If it is needed, so just download from the link Noobi3 gave last night and flash via CWM.
Just like normal, "install zip file from external SD"?

Thanks again. notworthy.gif
*
yes

wouldn't take more than 5 mins including all the booting here and there ^___^
monx has boot into recovery built in too! icon_rolleyes.gif

Bro,

Need advice on Titanium Backup.

I already backup user apps, then when I upgrade to wanamlite 2.1, when try to restore back all the user apps has been striked out inside TB.

How to restore it?
*
default folder is on internal sd. if you do not select external sd, then it might already been wiped. have to do your own checking

Ipad adapter with samsung usb to charge note2?? Is it safe?
*
why not safe? there was an article by one forumer who shared it. it showed the best charging adapters and the best is actually apple's samsung's and hp's. the rest are all rubbish with not good electronic stuff inside.
