Just received a confirmation from SGP Spigen that the Ultra Flip case will be launched today ( us time). Seems like it will arrive on our shores soon!

Hi all. Friend dropped and cracked a Note 2 SME set. Checked phone self test all is cool but there's crack marks on the front screen which is a bummer.
Any recommendations on what to do or which place to go for repairs? Would be good to have an estimate of how much it costs as well. For those curious: it was using a nilkin hard case. 3ft off the tar road. Update: called up Samsung service center. Was quoted about rm600 ish including labor costs but need to put down for a week. Just leavingng this here for all who are in the same boat This post has been edited by ebackbone: Dec 28 2012, 09:52 AM |

QUOTE(crazyissac @ Dec 28 2012, 10:20 AM) i am using it, the white one right? the one with 2 usb output ports, one labelled 1A and the other 2A full charge? I don't know really, but it can charge an iPhone 4S nearly 4 times. 11,200 is not absolutely useful, considering losses to inefficiency and heat, i think its just about right for at least 2 times note 2 |

I dont get why the so called hardcases almost all fail to cover the critical edges at the top and bottom. it shd provide all round cover and have a lip extending to the bezel of the screen like whst has been reported on the cruzerlite cases. otterbox ftw. |

QUOTE(KIntos @ Dec 28 2012, 07:32 AM) Never too truth the staffs from telco outlets. If possible you need to visit their outlets to check availability of the Note 2 once a while.I just get my Note 2 about a week ago. Actually, I book my phone and plan in 2 Digi outlets and 1 Maxis outlet around 2 weeks ago. Last week we I just pass by the Maxis outlet that I put my name in waiting list. Fortunately, the outlet's boss is around and I asked him how long I need to wait in order to get my Note 2 since I already booking with his staff. To my surprise, the boss tell me what booking. He told me their never keep booking list Another unit also gone in 2 to 3 days later. |

QUOTE(joytest @ Dec 28 2012, 10:27 AM) my very humble opinion. at my altar of cases, i actually just want to protect it from bumps and scratches, not cracks and smashes. Nillkin hardly covers the sexy parts of my phone and i like it that way. light, thin and not too grippy nor smooth. form vs functionality. your case' primary function is to protect yr device. that seems to have been sacrificed at the altar of aestheticality (I made up this word) just to add color to yr phone back. QUOTE(joytest @ Dec 28 2012, 10:27 AM) my very humble opinion. i think it depends very much what do the users expect from the case. I am using Nillkin hard case and i do not expect it to protect my Note II from drop test. I keep it (originally only intended to get it for temporary use) mainly for its nice texture at the back, preventing scratch on the shiny back cover and lift the back camera lens to prevent scratch. Add on a neoprene case when it is in my pocket to make sure not even a tiny specks of silica can get close to it. form vs functionality. your case' primary function is to protect yr device. that seems to have been sacrificed at the altar of aestheticality (I made up this word) just to add color to yr phone back. I dont get why the so called hardcases almost all fail to cover the critical edges at the top and bottom. it shd provide all round cover and have a lip extending to the bezel of the screen like whst has been reported on the cruzerlite cases. otterbox ftw. those using hard case like Nillkin and expect it to protect their Note II in a drop test is having unrealistic expectation out the case. Get a Otterbox or Case-mate Tough for drop test. QUOTE(low98944 @ Dec 28 2012, 10:28 AM) Never too truth the staffs from telco outlets.
