QUOTE(rifle_m16 @ Jan 6 2013, 03:56 PM) Oh my.. this is a very good start for stock MF680 and 3420. No this is not just Sunday speed; I get this kind of speed almost all times of the day and night every day for the past 3 days since my sim got activated. Now I am afraid to even run the install cd that came with the 3420 since the saying goes if it aint broke....I don't think you need any tweak yet. Very nice speed on Sunday evening which usually most of us here only got 'congested speed'. Added on January 6, 2013, 4:03 pm QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Jan 6 2013, 03:57 PM) nothing much u can do for upload speed, someone was saying an external antenna may help take the upload speed to above 2Mbps..day time/peak hour, maxis does monitor and control it,. only non peak hour/midnight hour, then your upload speed will be release in FULL speed Should I go for the yagi type or the one blacktubu sells? all this came to fruition due to two sifus here:
chuahcs79 and blacktubi... Added on January 6, 2013, 4:07 pm QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Jan 6 2013, 04:04 PM) yeah, u might want to leave it as it is since it performs superbly fine for you,. I will try alternate placement.Added on January 6, 2013, 4:05 pm for me , in my opinion,. Feng Shui Best spot is everything, then second level of congested in cell tower u are connected, and last is enhancement of device,. i dont think u need any enhancement since your ping and download speed is quite good, just try to find best spot direction in your places,. It has been 72 hours and the zte mf680 hasn't overheated to affect performance yet. This post has been edited by sbd: Jan 6 2013, 04:07 PM |

QUOTE(tshin810 @ Jan 6 2013, 04:35 PM) my 3420 is version 2.1 bought rm80 from Czone. Not only haven't tweaked (no idea how at this stage) but I also have not configured it which normally one should for new router. I just plugged in the zte expecting it won't work out of the box but it did. All I had to get was the key for wifi which is printed on the base of the 3420. |

after 72 straight hours of 20Mbps, i finally had to shut off my 3420; i think maxis is down. so here's the chance for the mf680 and 3420 to cool down and take a rest!
