I think scam is a strong word to use.

I think my previous post in previous versions is not exported to this new thread.

An excerpt: Though it says 42000 downlink, that doesn't mean you should be expecting 42Mbps connection speed. That's not happening, yet. At this moment, the maximum speed Maxis DC-HSPA+ users can get is around 22-23Mbps.
*
haha..when i said they scam i dont really mean it in serious tone tongue.gif
thanks fruitie for the great link you give..lots of info there..

ps: still do hope i can break 16mbs confinement drool.gif

wow, changing mtu value work great for me, speed below done at 8.00pm quite good for my area considering this is peak hour for my place..

using mtu=576
sadly the ping stay like that only when in dc hspa+ mode, when not under stress the connection return to hspa+ which equal to 120-130ms ping ( this usually happen when i want to try gaming ) sigh wink.gif

Maxis got DC enabled at their network? and your device can support that?
*
err..i already say im in dc hspa+ network do i?
it just that when not under heavy load, my modem will revert to hspa+ network. using 320u fyi ..try pinging google technique when playing internet games but sadly to no avail. pinging is not considered heavy load enough to force it into dc hspa+ mode.. sad.gif

not enough data? try define packet size
CODE

ping google.com -t -l 200

the value 200 try increase it..
*
yup, it work...just need to give it some time before turn to dc hspa+ network..difference is exceptional though..
ping 8.8.8.8 with 200 butes in hspa+ mode will give avg of 450ms
ping 8.8.8.8 with 200 bytes in dc hspa+ mode will give avg 50ms

This may be a clever way to keep your connection always on by Ping-ing google.com and keep the connection on HSPA+ or DC HSPA+ aw, but do you knoe that it will SHORTEN the life span of the modem. Mpdems were designed to conserve power to only "wakeup" when the need arise , like doing a download . Letting it to idle will cool the chip and make its chip's life span longer. You can argue using fan to blow it , BUT did you actually blow into its main circuits ?

Tell me, will it be good or bad for your health if your adek also "tegang" all day long ?  laugh.gif  icon_idea.gif
