Nah, for the whole night my E398 only got 5Mbps max. I got so fed up with it and changed to MF680 and immediately my speed straight shot up to 11Mbps. Coincidence? I don't know.
Yes stable in obtaining slow speed lo. No cooling was done and actually oh E398 is equivalent hot as well. |

Back to square, I don't mind spending few hundreds for my modem or router provided the ISP deserves for such devices.
If not, I better use the money to makan.  I get high speed in office all the time, more than 30Mbps, going back to my PJ house is just for downloads and surfing.Even that Maxis fails to fulfill my requests. |

I'm at my sister's house now. I'm at her family hall at 1st floor, signal drops a bit but the upload speed is still crazy.

Actually E398 is good if you don't have E372 or MF680 before this. With Maxis' current infrastructure, you really expect a big jump? That's not going to happen. E398 is not a God and will turn your slow speed to high speed.
Anyway, it probably can shine only when the real day comes. Somebody might not like my honest post and keep defending it is a good modem. |
