Maxis is in deep s**t this time. They've disappointed many of their long time customers.

Wasting time is a big no no for me if clearly there's no stock.

Decided to boycott maxis and order from Apple Store instead.

That's what's been reported on twitter so far too.

But i wonder if they also have stock allocation for the time slots.

Or just the whole system has gone haywire because

1) many of those never ROI also queue.

2) Then those who ROI for specific size/colour change to other size/colour on the spot.

Friend queued for 2pm session.

She ROI for 32GB but end up getting 16GB. All other sizes out.

Friend said at CapSquare they made promoters hold up signs to let people know only 16GB left. They also broadcast on their "infoscreen" TVs.

So, I've just called Maxis 123.

Been told that only 16GB is available in limited stocks at Capital Square and all other maxis center.

Apparently Maxis is awaiting stocks from Apple. (Which I think is a made up story).

I've been told just to wait for stock update via sms from Maxis. No time frame. Dafuq...

Just got back from KL sentral. Not many people (~8 people) as of an hour ago.

However, only 16GB models available. Returned empty handed.

Mine's Shopping Mall Maxis MEP, start selling 16GB at 1pm.

Say what!!! I was there around 10:30am, was told only 16GB available. How early were you there?

So surprised myself. My prebook slot was yesterday 2pm.

But i tried my luck, went at 4:30pm just now. Surprisingly they actually got reserve for all of those who preordered.

Mine took 30 mins too. Bought white 32gb with contract and one 16GB black outright.

They nano sim is actually given to you when you queue up. Got staff to register your details for contract plan and also to activate nano sim. Quite fast got SMS notification on that prorated data quota even before getting collecting the iPhone 5.
