QUOTE(gin&tonic @ Dec 18 2012, 08:59 AM) Need to ask u how is this rom compare to Jellybam in terms of battery life ( on screen time as well ) & stability. I dont install any jellybam b4.. so i dont know..Any known bugs? Camera 4.2 working? Appreciate your input. Thx So far i consider usable.. but i need to check important features that i always use.. still not found that consider cacat at my eyea QUOTE(snigapoe @ Dec 18 2012, 09:00 AM) what is the difference of cm10 mali with and without mcm build? There is change log that u can refer rite.. not so hard to understandthey used to upload siyah kernel to along with their rom now i don't see any of it does it still support siyah? currently still using 20121119 build This post has been edited by xixo_12: Dec 18 2012, 01:06 PM |

QUOTE(ellimist @ Dec 18 2012, 03:33 PM) Thanks for the link 4.2.1 still too early to use if u care bout smoothness.. Stutter feel very noticeable.. Ram usage less than 280 for fresh install..How's the build working for u thus far? Performance & memleak etc wise. I'm not too bothered bout battery =p Battery usage i dunno.. Lol.. Cos this is 2nd rom.. Camera functionality is good.. |

QUOTE(ellimist @ Dec 18 2012, 09:53 PM) im propose for you to try other rom too.. i'm more into aosp feel.. so anything with heavy add-on, im not interested to try since download file is way too big..so far, the most interest for me is mcm build.. even better with cm10 itself.. feel something different.. battery usage oso superb ..hit 20h easily for 2hr++ screen time. |

QUOTE(ellimist @ Dec 19 2012, 07:55 AM) Yeah I'm trying to stick to aosp as well, like the feel just like u, and don't prefer add-ons. I will definitely choose mcm cm10 build over cm10.1 .. reason is simple.. cm10.1 still consider incomplete and user experience is totally different in term of smoothness.. Hmm so the MCM or CM10.1 itself smoother? Even though cm10.1 a few new features but i dont think u will fully utilize it..lol |

QUOTE(ellimist @ Dec 19 2012, 03:05 PM) Ah cool cool. Yea I'm not too worried bout the added on features. Got aosp, toggles, and smooth, can oredi for me siggie long time no update liao.. lol now stick with MCM cm10 for primary.. couple with siyah v5 (from MCM)Hmm I see your siggie, you're on CM10 instead of 10.1? Is that better performance wise? 10.1 i put as 2nd rom just to try what rom u using rite now? still cm9 ha? This post has been edited by xixo_12: Dec 19 2012, 03:08 PM |

QUOTE(ellimist @ Dec 19 2012, 03:14 PM) Yup yup give some time for maturity of 10.1.. for time being, you should upgrade to cm10 base.. let alone cm9 .. haha.. once i jump off to cm10, never look back to cm9 anymore.. Suddenly realised super outdated, but heard the CM10 wise not so smooth since exynos source code not out there. Had a fren tell me latest build for 10.1 (18th Dec, stock CM, not MCM) quite good wor Oh so the MCM10 > MCM10.1 performance wise? different between MCM and CM10.1/10 is cherrypick and perhaps sentimental touch by MCM.. cherry pick sometimes hasn't been approve in current build from CM team.. but most likely it's usable. same like replicant OS audio HAL http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/26281/ still in review, but it already embed into MCM build.. |

Android 4.1 & 4.2 not much improvement other than the intro of new clock, camera and Gmail app. Which are readily available for 4.1. My nexus 7 upgrade from 4.1 - >4.2 Don't feel in difference also in terms of smoothness and usage. QUOTE(megadisc @ Dec 19 2012, 04:54 PM) Its features improvement oni.. Wait for new android version n see what google offer.. Otherwise i would say, if oni there is no heavy development, android is pretty bored after long run..lolThis post has been edited by xixo_12: Dec 19 2012, 05:21 PM |
