hi all bro and sifu sekalian,

I am having some problem of connecting my head unit (one pair of RCA) to 4 channel amp.
Act, my set up was done by one of the so called sifu at my hometown and he said dat his set up is damn superb whereby his set up with only 8 subwoofer is able to cover another competitor with 12 subwoofer.
If found out a lot of setting being done wrongly by this guy. I am using this 4 channel amp to run one set of component at one subwoofer.
He used channel a for the component set and channel b for the subwoofer. I found out that for channel b (subwoofer), he chose the setting as off instead of LPF. Act, which one shud be the correct setting for subwoofer? LPF or off? In my opinion LPF shud b the correct setting after going thru ice forum in lowyat.
I have drawn two drawing for ur reference. Currently, my set up is connection A but I feel that connection B should be more appropriate.
For connection A, i will be getting mono instead of stereo bcs he is connecting the rca (right side) from head unit to channel A for left and right sides.
So, which one shud be the correct connection? Connection A or B?
Thank you very much for the help!!!

Oh no...then the installer has done it wrongly for me
Is there any possible way to detect which RCA from the head unit is left or right?
Do I need to do the tuning again once change it to connection b?

There is a way
Just check at the back of the head unit because the installer might installed it the wrong way
But after that tuning will be easy because u are running passive smile.gif

The problem is I don't hf the equipment to detach the head unit from desk board...hehe
I have tried to change everything to connection b. my problem now is not sure how to tune the amp.
FYI, my channel a (component) has a fixed frequency of 80hz. So, for channel b ( subwoofer), I need to adjust the frequency to be lesser than 80hz?
When I adjust the frequency of subwoofer to be higher than 100hz, i am able to hear the voice of the singer. Is this the correct way whereby I adjust the frequency until I'm unable to listen to the voice of the singer?

do test the RH/LH and FR/RR balancing using the 'BAL' and 'FAD' in the HU setup

example: put the red RCA into amps, adjust the BAL in the HU...if going to LH got sound and going to RH no sound, then the red RCA is LH channel. do the same method for fader. good luck

Hi all, what will happen if I connect HU right side to the left side of the channel a and b? I tried my setup also, according to connection b, but seems like the sound for the front component does not differentiate left and right channel....will this happen if I connect wrongly?

Nothing will happen.Your left would be on right and right would be on left. You can correct it with changing your speaker connection on the amp or just correct the rca input.Use proper cd to check your balance.

Currently I'm using 4 channel to bridge it to 2 channel to run my component. I'm facing a problem where the sound does not really come to center of the car...of course I hv another 2 channel amp to bridge for my sub. I'm connecting front pair RCA to my 4 channel amp, using splitter. Then sub output from hu to my 2 channel to whack the sub.

The problem is really I hear much louder on my driver side, even balance is at center, adjusting from HU...anyone got experience on this?
