With BC (to play PS2 games)? If it is then not bad, but be careful since PS3 isn't built to last especially those earlier models.

if you are getting it for the sake of playing new games only not backwards compatible games its better for you to buy a new set (slim) around RM900+- with 160gb HDD. Earlier models had a very high chance in getting YLOD.

considering the price, not really worth it. the fat model is popular with overheating and ylod.

many said ps3 won't last long like the ps2.

I don't play ps2 games on ps3 on my fat version last time. Anyway I've brought slim modded already.
According to the ps2 I'm also has ps2 fat and slim x2 unit games nearly 150+++pcs still playing some games now
But most of time I will play my ps3 modded totally int/ext 750gb haha and some of games was still buy orin blueray discs which my fav games wink.gif

FYI ps2 emu many many years past ago I did tried but can't run over due to graphic card problems. Only work with ps1 emu. Now I rather play it on my consoles since I owned ps1 2unit, ps2 fat/slim 2units and ps3 fat/slim 2units (fat has already sold)

Of course the emulator is not capable to handle 100% ps2 games heck ps3 with backward compability using software is still 60% usable only. In his case even with hardware (60gb do have emotion chip inside it) only 90% of ps2 game can run in it. Safe to say If you want to play ps2 game search for a ps2 not ps3 laugh.gif
