any recommendation for free maps apps? preferably one that can use gps to pinpoint current location.

Does not require navigation, just plain old maps.

I am trying out sygic. then waze then google map. too bad google map got limit of 80mb.

also, I got poetic case. but it kind of loose. No screen protector. Do I really need SP? oily smudge is quite unsightly. Should I get one that is matte?

now all I see is "Google" and the bottom of the screen one padlock.

Using Google Nexus 7 Toolkit.

1. Downloaded cm-10.1-20121214-UNOFFICIAL-grouper
2. extracted and put everything in the "put_img_files_to_flash_here
3. fired up toolkit and selected option 11. flash img to device. under one of the option I selected write to "system" , among the option was boot, bootloader, system and some others I forgot


I can get into Fastboot mode atm. But I am scared as ...


Maybe I am a bit off. since the Google with a padlock screen stayed for more then 5minutes. But the flashing took just like 5 seconds.
Is that normal?


edit: I think I am on the way to flashing back to stock JB.

Ya loh... i am such a nub sauce.... I look at the flash. and it flash faster then those old bios flashing. Thats when I start to panic...


Now I am back to stock JB. Rooted. but it will be a while before I try custom ROMs.

I did unzip the downloaded pack. Got one boot.img file... so I just use that.... sigh.

Any hand holding guide for flashing custom rom for newbies?

I got a bit ahead of myself. Fortunately, did not really completely break the n7.

how many minutes do I have to wait after flashing a new rom, then rebooted to enter the os? I am at the booting screen with the google X logo pulsing pink,green,yellow and blue.

Mine seems to be pulsing for more then 5minutes and still pulsing.

I manage to flash and get 720p video recording. The basic camera app is quite limited. Any suggestion for a camera apps that even auto rotates and have various options like reverting to 480p recording?

I did some trial run with Paranoid rom + google maps. Surprisingly, the location pickup so much faster then JB+google map.

Anyone else experience similar pickup in speed?

any reason why my google map cannot save KL map?

I will recommend when humblebundle android comes around. That one is sure gooding one. Many games bundled up at less then 80cents usd per game for the last one I bought.
