Many people tell me dun go for white car ,or else you will regret lately.

But I like white paint, cause is look young, shape and clean.

But hard to maintenance.

Somehow I think black is more hard to taking care.

Anyone one can share some advise, how to maintain a white car.

I have my car washed every week and wheels polished every alternate days. Will normally send it for waxing every one or two months. this way, my white is still looking brand new even after close to two and a half years. I have another black car at home, my sisters to be exact. She doesn't care about her car lol, therefore scratches are easily spotted in black color.

If you are lazy, don't get black or white.
Black has anorther problem, car will be very hot and not easytoto cool down because it absorb sun heat.

White paint... If wanna make it like new paint and wash it every weeks or after rain and parking out side and drive to car wash.
After 6 months go for polishing.

Or totally don't care it and keep it dirty until you can't accept the car condition, then bring to repainting workshop for spray pearl white smile.gif

it is very easy to spot any stain on white color solid paint...
if really lazy to wash maybe 2-4 weeks once, go for metallic paint...

anyway, u can send your car for detailing every 3-6 months...
the staffs will apply a seal layer which will isolate the water and paint, wont harm directly to car paint directly and it will look like bubble water...
hence the paint surface will as smooth as silk...

example the picture below is my bloody effort for detailing...

if u want to cheap detailing, the SS2 there have one shop doing this, around Rm300-400 for standard package if no remember wrong...

Having a black car is much worst. My first car was a black car, now my second car is a white car. Comparing these 2, my first car is harder to keep clean. You can see even one single speck of dust.

If you talk about glossy paint, YES.
White cars need more work to maintain.
After a rain, the water streaks will accumulate if not removed regularly (those yellowish/brown water lines)
Need to polish every so often of fine scratches will eventually get stain stucked inside permanently
Turns yellowish over time
All the problems above happens to other colours, but they are not so visible.
Black is the second hardest to maintain after white.

If you are hardworking, just wash urself...dont send to car wash as we dont know what shampoo they use..it might harm ur car paint and coat...polish often also will destroy the paint coat...but if u plan to repaint the whole after two years then u dont need to worry too much

Polishing is not exactly good for your paint. Every time u polish, a fine layer of paint gets taken off. Polishing once a year should be sufficient. Yuo can do waxing every 2-3 months to 'lock in' the polish. Wash weekly but be careful with the shampoo used. Best would be just a wet cloth and plain water. No real need for car shampoos.

Actually as long as u always keep ur car in clean condition, n waxing it every 2 to 3 months your car will look like new. As i also using a pearl white car for nearly 2 years, my car paint still look new though.... laugh.gif

Why not look into a Tribos treatment program for your car? It comes with a 3-year warranty on body, 6months on Glass & Rims.

With a tribos protected program, you only need to water wash your car and wipe it clean. Doesn't need wax & polish for the 3 years during warranty.

actually claying is better than polish...

polish remove layer by layer along with contaminants bcos of chemical cleaning, worst the paint by look "imbalance" after polish...
claying no chemical cleaning involved, it simply remove the contaminants only...

as usual, claying + waxing will do more than enough for detailing...
polish required unless claying no able to remove the hard stain or contaminants...
rubbing compound required unless polish no able to remove the tough stain or contaminants, it 100% will harm the car paint...

here some information about claying

yeah doing that for my new car as well. Perma Glass Clay + Perma Glass Sealant. I put another layer of Merguirs Ultimate Quick Wax.
When I'm driving my savvy all i did was use Turtle Quick Wax after every car wash done by anneh. It did a good job and maintained a 5 year old paint very well.

I got both black n white cars..
1 black car is 11 yr old, glossy. The white one is just 1 month old. all i can say is, white is harder to maintain altho i send for washing every 4-5 days.. after raining, there is some water droplets pattern on the paint and its very hard to hide that.
But my black car, just send for wash once every month but still looks wet and glossy even after raining.. black paint can hide water marks better than other paint, as long as u dont drive it thru muddy puddle of water la..

if u r fat and drives a lot in the afternoon, black is the best choice for u, because every time u park under the sun for half an hour, it'll be a super hot inside and u won't need to go to the gym to loose weight, white car will make u super fat because after 2 hours under the sun it'll still stay comfortably cool if u have good tints.

also if your car's wax is gone and u drive through the rain, u can have an excuse to clean your car because it'll be full of white / grey dust when it dries, white cars doesn't have this problem.

even if u park your black car for a few days under the roof, u can easily spot the dust even if the car is fully waxed, white car doesn't have this problem.

if there are minor scratches on the black paint, u can easily see them because those scratches will be white color. white colored scratches on a white car? their invisible.

white will look very dirty after rain. especially near the door handles and panel gaps, will get these black streaks.

my car looks good in white, but maintaining it is very difficult. u dont wash for 1 week already will look very dirty. my previous grey car, i dont wash for 1 month also no one notice.

no.1 reason I wont get a white car.

my mom myvi...guess what color? (bonus question)

White !! Yes, you guessed it right. i almost thought myvi & viva comes in standard white .

white is so popular color for viva, myvi, the toyota family, civics, twincabs, insight, that it almost become standard color or default colors for those models...0mg~ just an opinion though, sorry.

grey or dark brown r nice colors to have IMO for the elegance it exudes.

almost black at night, daytime like silver....I likey!

like mitsubishi evo graphite grey.

my current color is like grey also, magnesium metallic to be exact.

silver is really the lowest maintenance color.

my other car is silver...1mth wash once, np... Lol

TS, i got 5 white car in home. so all i can say is,

White car is a hassle to clean if you hate it look dirty with black black stripes after rain.

but my advise ?

get it, if you like it, after you clean your car once a week, you will fall in love with the car quickly and easily. extra caring is like once a week into the beauty saloon for a cool off ^^

how i mantain all my car ?
once its rain, i will run around my car, take a wet micro fiber cloth and wipe around my car, and take a low pressure hose to spray the side near tyre and bumper.

sometimes its fun wiping your car dry, but hope its not gonna rain again so soon la...

i spend 30 minutes daily on molesting my car ^^
treating it like doing some workout, as well maintaining my feeling with my car, since i got 5.

Not using shampoo to wash your car is one of the worst thing you can do to your car paint. Never try to clean your car just by using a cloth or plain water. Once you drive your car, there will always be dust and dirt particles on your car paint. Car shampoo will provide the necessary lubricity to minimize swirls and scratches when you're wiping the car.

In my personal view… regardless what is your car’s paint colour, as long as you wash your car every week it will look great in the long run.

Just want to share my car care regimen tongue.gif

Washing
1) Wash my car every weekend with wash & wax type car shampoo
2) After dying-up the car, will apply a layer of meguiars quick wax or quick detailer [alternating between the 2 on each week]

Waxing (every 6-8 weeks)
1) Wash my car using a good car shampoo
2) Clay my car paint surface
3) Polish * optional depends on the car paint condition [usually I only polish my car once a year] sweat.gif
4) Wax the car using a good quality wax

Thank for you guys faithful comment. Ya.

I am wonder should I go for a nano coating shield onto my car,
It seem my colleague advise me to do so.

Prevent dirty and easy to taking care.

Protect the painting shine like new.

Can last 3-5 year at least.

Prevent from light scratching.

Pricing like rm 600-800 .

I am new about this product,it seem many different brand car coating in the market.

Which brand are recommend,any advise?

don't trust those guys that charge less than 1000 and says it can last 3-5 years.

the coating i usually do only last 6 months, the most a year, and it cost 1200.
