Saw on History channel during Christmas, very interesting, it is about after Jesus's risen from death and remaining days in earth before ascend to heaven.

There's irrefutable evidence that Jesus did exist and walk in history.

Too many to deny. Sorry to say this, but anyone who deny his existence is really ignorant.

I believe why 40 days after the resurrection, is to restore faith to his people.

For 40 days He was tested by the devil in the wilderness. And not all the testing incidents was recorded, only 3. I believe it was more.

He was tested by the enemy so that we understand why Jesus can sympathise with us. At the end of the 40 days, I believe Jesus was severely taxed in the body and become hungry. It was a period of short and momentary darkness for the son of God to be allowed to go through this trial.

Likewise, after the resurrection, Jesus walked for 40 days restoring back Faith unto his people who had witnessed his cruxification.

Why 40 and 40?

40 Prior to the cross with the devil, He was severely tested.

40 after the cross, He was gloriously restored and now with his people administrating Faith.

Because the barrier is broken. smile.gif

I said the barrier to God is broken!

Amen.

Eh, they do.
They even believe Jesus is the Christ, and a Son of God.
Just that they have different definition of what "god" is.
*
They believe Jesus is a direct creation of God the Father. They don't believe in the Holy Trinity.

And their emphasis is very much back to God the Father as the single God.

This is what I mean.

Actually they do. But a lot is not according to scripture.

They believe Jesus is a redeemer but rose as in the form of spirit.

The Bible is very clear, Jesus rose with his resurrected body.

That's the contradiction.

The part Jesus appears in front of Thomas and reassure him that He is Jesus and he risen from death is truly awe inspiring. Happen to me before when I was at time lost faith.

There was part about shroud of Turin, what your take on that? seems like there was an error in carbon 14 dating, it seems it be older then estimated around 15th century.

I'm more interest in the part where group of scientist said after their findings, the image on the shroud of turin could only be created by some form of electromagnetic energy which is highly unlikely a forger could have done it in the middle ages. As Such, they denounce forgery which IMO only lead to authenticity. smile.gif

It's authentic bro.

radio carbon is not the least of the worry.

Then why the need to pray? Sorry, my christian knowledge very low.
*
You mean why need to pray with your vocal chord as against in the mind?

Do you know that God accepts both as prayers? Don't succumb to self condemn or guilt.

You can pray in both ways. God's spirit in you, hears your thoughts, isn't that cool?

In the old Testament, Hannah prayed without voicing it out but yet God answered her prayers. (1 Samuel 1:13)

But if you vocalised your prayer, I believe you can string better sentences and more coherent thoughts.

And one more reason for vocalising it is because according to Proverbs 18:21

The power to bless or to curse is in the tongue.

When you issue prayers vocally, great things happen.

It has to do with the spiritual realm.

Ah yes, I believe God got all our base covered.

Sometimes, we don't know what to say or how to pray correctly but the Holy Spirit knows exactly how, when He pray, it's always perfect prayer because it's always according to the will of God.

God's word promise whenever a prayer is in the will of God, God answers.

Praying in the spirit is very-very powerful.

If you want proof and scientific evidence out from a laboratory to prove all this, I cannot do it and neither can the 2.2 billion people. That is why it is called FAITH. I can only say one thing is for certain; that God is real based on the lives he has touched and changed. And I am one of them. Thank you God for coming into my life. All glory goes to God!!

What is FAITH?

Dictionary.com:

Faith
1. confidence or trust in a person or thing: faith in another's ability.
2. belief that is not based on proof.
3. belief in God or in the doctrines or teachings of religion.[/spoiler]
*
wah so long article? sweat.gif

allow me to share this with you also.

Faith is not elusive.

It is the evidence of our God.

The Bible says Faith like this in

Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

It is substance and evidence. Many people interpreted it as something elusive, cannot be proven. But my argument is this. If it cannot be proven, then it cannot have substance nor evidence.

What are the substance and evidence it's talking about?

The answer is this: Answered Prayers. The testimonies of Believers. They are all the substance and evidence of Faith. That means it is not something invisible nor a myth.

In your example, it's a change of lifestyle away from addiction. Sceptics will say anyone with a will of determination strong enough, can. Then challenge them back about your testimony from being freed from porn and alcohol addiction. Can they abstain from it without even trying?

smile.gif

Hope this helps you.

God Bless.

Stand your Ground Part 2 (Spiritual Warfare) - part 1 on pg 21

QUOTE
Ephesians 6:13(NIV)
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Before I continue to share on the last 3 armour pieces, I want to bring to your attention on the word stand.
If you go through Ephesians 6, the word stand is repeated 4 times. No small details is insignificant in the Bible.
If it's repeated, then The Holy Spirit is trying to tell us something.

Why is the word "stand" important? In a showdown between wars or battle, the last man standing is the victor.

But is this the right approach for us to spiritual warfare?

In Colossians 2:15, The Bible states that Jesus has disarmed the Devil. He has been defeated literally from having any power of the curse of sin.
The Devil has been disarmed and defeated at the cross.

So if you're Fighting in spiritual warfare, you're fighting from victory NOT for victory. Do you understand? It is based on the foundation of Colossians 2:15.

If you are trying to fight FOR victory, before you even start, the devil has defeated you. You will not get the answer to your prayer. ALWAYS fight from victory because Jesus has defeated the devil and his Sacrifice on the cross is a finished job. Not a half way complete job and you have to continue the work for Him to victory. Do you understand this?

That is why the word of God is so clear when it says stand 4 times, it's pointing to a stand from victory. When you pray or issues command in spiritual warfare, pray from the point that the devil IS ALREADY defeated. That is Faith.

The fourth piece is the Shield of Faith. What is this shield? There are many aspects in this teaching and I want to bring a few to your attention. If you see, Ephesians 6:16, it says there it can extinguished all the flaming arrows. What is the opposite of fire? Water. What symbolises water in the Bible? The Holy Spirit. Speaking in Tongues and praying in the spirit, symbolises the stream of living water (John 7:38). Praying in the spirit and speaking in tongues acts as your shield of Faith. This streams of living water can extinguish the flaming arrows of the enemy. What are the flaming arrows of the devil, Ephesian 6 is talking about? They are lies and deception of the enemy. What is one of the role of the Holy Spirit? He is the counsellor who will guide you into all Truth. See the relation?

And then there is Faith. The Bible is clear that without Faith, it is impossible to please God. I believe, it can also mean this. Without Faith, it's impossible to move God. But where does your Faith hangs on? Is it Faith in your Faith or Faith in Jesus's Faith? Ha this is a divine revelation.
if you put Faith in your Faith, it will be volatile and subject to variation. You will always feel you need to produce enough Faith. Jesus's Faith is always consistent. If you put Faith in Jesus's Faith, rest assured, the believing one (Jesus) will make all things possible. Amen.

The fifth piece is the Helmet of Salvation. What does the Helmet protect? Your Head which also symbolises, your mind. Why Salvation? Because your foundation of Salvation must be very well established. If you believe in an errornous doctrine that preaches shaky Salvation, that you are righteous only until your next sin, you will be an easy target for the devil. Why? Before you even enter into spiritual warfare, the devil may come to you and say you're a hypocrite. You have done this wrong or done that wrong or you have not done enough. And tell you even if you confessed your sins, you will only repeat it again in the near future. If you believe that lie, you are definitely defeated through condemnation and guilt The Bible is very clear that it is not your obedience that makes you righteous. It is your Faith and it is by grace, you have been made righteous. Romans 5:19 says very clearly, IT IS Jesus's obedience that makes you righteous. When you pull the focus away from your own obedience and trust ONLY Jesus's finished work (Jesus obedience and sacrifice) that makes you righteous, that devil has no hold over you. Do you know why? The devil cannot find Fault against Jesus. The Bible says our life is now Hidden in Christ Jesus. When your mind is well established that you are eternally saved, based not on your works or effort, the devil cannot get you. Then, you can pray boldly in Jesus name with the Helmet of Jesus's Salvation protecting your head.

The final six piece is the Sword of the Spirit which the Bible says very clearly is the word of the living God, sharper than any double edged sword. It is an offensive weapon. I've shared before in one of my devotion, Jesus only quoted the scripture to defeat the devil. He didn't summon a level 99+ Fire Ball to squash the devil. Why the word of God? Because after the cross, The Devil has been removed of principality and authoritive powers. He is left with the ability to only use lies or deception as a form of weapon. So why the word of God again? Because the word of God is the divine Truth. You counter lies with Truth. But there is one difference. There is divine power in the word of God. Real dunamis power because the spiritual realm moves according to the word of God. Angels harken to the word of God spoken in Faith. And Jesus has given us that authority (Luke 10:19). And God himself ordained his word with such power (Isaiah 55:11, Matthew 24:35 , Numbers 23:19).

So put on the Armour of God by practising it's principal.

I pray that these devotion will help you greatly in your Life.

God Bless.

It is a indeed even a metaphorical battlefield, except that it is very real, and the word metaphor may as well will lose its meaning.

For the world it will be a metaphor. Because they understand not.
For Believers of Christ, it is very real.

Ephesians 6:12 (NIV)
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Hmm. Okay.
Sigh. The most powerful weapon from the Devil is indeed deception, because we would have fought back the best we can if we are able to see evil in its tangible nature.

But spiritual battles? For a human, and in gaming, it will be considered as an unfair battle. Still, it is not a battle that you can run away with, for the evil forces we speak of...appears to have no need for rest.
*
Neither do God rest.

As a child of God, you have total and complete protection and peace from Almighty Father.

If there's ever a voice of thought telling you so and so Christian, got this cancer, debts, terrible accidents, got killed on a road, it may happen to you also.

Reject that "it may happen to you" totally. You know it's the voice of the devil. He works on the basis of fear and ignorance.

Everybody have different journey in life with God. What happens to others bears no relation to you.

The Devil can only get to a Christian the moment he/she believe in the lie rather than the word of God.

The word of God is clear on the protection it gives to all believers.

For example,

Isaiah 54:17 (KJV)
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper.

Psalm 91:9-10 (NIV)
If you make the Most High your dwelling--even the LORD, who is my refuge, then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.

The technical way to tithe is to tithe the net profit. Not the gross sale.

Even if you made 30M sales, the safe figure to tithe is after deduct all the cost.

But of course, each believers have different Faith.

Some will give more than the net profit.

Tithing is a personal covenant between God and you.

And I sincerely believe, when you come into agreement with God's covenant, God will bless you more than you can give.

You can never out give God.

And true enough, looking at so many sermons, I find it comfortingly true.

The way out of poverty is to give mix with Faith. One of the way to give is to tithe. smile.gif

My short message for 2013

Don't mind if I just share, just a bit.

God existing outside of time, knows from the beginning of January 2013, till the end of December 2013,

all the things, the events, incidents that will happen in each and every one's life.

Many of us, still have situations from 2012.

For some, it could be Salvation for a love one, financial freedom, healing for those with chronic illness, looking for life partner, etc.

The Holy Spirit in us, holds the answers to all things, all problems, all situations.

He has the answers. smile.gif

Our responsibility is to be close God, seeking Him everyday so that we can hear and be sensitive to his voice.

To understand Him, to know his will so that we will not be lost and confuse.

That at the end of it all, We can give GOD all the glory and praise.

God Bless.
