I have no guardian now, anyone "without" an apprentice (give chance to others that are less fortunate)

nah, i just owned him with less than 10 hits and he barely touched my rogue....

whatever job you are, go back to the master npc (master titan, master healer, master rogue etc...) but make sure you have got some skill points.
