my ath-50x headband skin layer started to peeled off. any solution or replacement for this?

found a wool cover. i think this is the only way to reduce more damage. 

haha read somewhere online people actually uses tennis racket grip to replace the headband. cant wait to try on my m40x when headband starts to flake.

it will peel off no matter how due to oxidation (oxygen is almost everywhere, man). i just make sure nothing hard or metallic press against it when hanging it on plastic headphone holders.
good thing is it is foldable, so you can keep it in dry place.

i know right? but it also means you can try on different pads and headbands, and these replacements are quote reasonably priced.
Cars also need to change airfilter and tires.
