guys, if i import a pair of AD900X from Japan, what sort of tax will I need to pay? i checked a guide and it says supposedly only sales tax 10%, but a friend of mine who ordered a pair of beyerdynamics got taxed 30% (not sure if import duty or something else?)
could someone enlighten me?
To be honest, I don't think a lot of people understand taxes.
Anybody can give me a personal comparison between the W1000X and the HD650? I listen to mainly vocals and a little bit of everything (Daft Punk, 30secs2mars, pink floyd, Woodkid, etc). Currently driving my cans with Aune T1 mk2 > Lovely Cube Premium (a clone of Lehmann Black Cube Linear).
bro~ Simpan duit~ I can wait~ Sedikit-sedikit, lama-lama jadi W3000ANV~
If you don't mind waiting I also don't mind lah. I just secured myself a new job and the missus and I agreed not to make big purchases for first year. Want to pay off loans and debts too Small purchases can la like headphone stands etc.
Can't compare S400/S500 with other headphones. They use carbon nanotube drivers while others usually use biocellulose/plastic/metal plating. A lot of users prefer the S500 over other more expensive headphones such as VModa crossfade/M100, M40/M50, etc.
Hey everyone, recently I've been checking out ATH AD900x. So far I think that's the one I'm going to be getting but upon checking the price. It's about $138 in US which converts to about RM 500+. Here it's selling for 1.3k in Jaben and such. Is it much cheaper to just import even including shipping fees? Will there be tax if I do buy them from Amazon?
Thank you in advance!
I looked through ebay and the price for AD900X ranged about RM700 (including shipping and import charges) and above. I think the RM500+ ones are AD700X? Amazon does sell them cheaper but it seems the shipping handling and import charges aren't calculated as well. And only one listing does ship to Malaysia, that one is USD149 which is about RM66+. Not sure how much is the shipping and import charges to Malaysia, but it should add at least RM150 into the price.
I'd suggest getting locally since the warranty will be easier.
Ah okay, yeah you're right, didn't even think about warranty. In that case I might just go for the cheaper AD500x from Malaysia altogether. Thanks for all the help and quick replies
If you're really interested to get the best sound, I'd suggest you test both of them out and before making a decision. It pays to buy the best pair by saving instead of buying the cheaper model with the intention to upgrade. However if you don't intend to upgrade, the AD500X would suit you better. As always its up to you.
