QUOTE(Steven7 @ May 19 2013, 09:57 PM) Hi guys, I received some recommendations from the "recommendation thread" and I have made some research myself. I am now torn between AT M30/35, T500 and AD300 so I now look here for tips to help me decide. My main usage of the headphones will be mainly music and movies with little gaming. (I saw some old replies here in LYN mentioning such usages are more suitable with AD300 instead of monitoring series like M30). I also wish to have my headphone to produce crisp detailed sound and provide adequate noise isolation. Thanks in advance all. I would go with the M30 with your usage profile...

QUOTE(Steven7 @ May 20 2013, 09:22 PM) Well I do require adequate noise isolation I guess as my surroundings can get noisy at times. And thanks joshuachew for the kind response, would you kindly shed some light on newbies like me why M30 is better as I have read some great reviews on both T500 and AD300 as well. You would be better off with a monitoring headphone so that it can give you more accurate tracking in games and stuff like that. But maybe if it permits, buy a gaming headphone and buy an audio headphone for music.

QUOTE(E1 - AKG @ Apr 29 2014, 03:58 PM) For the very first time in Malaysia do you get the audit the complete Audio-Technica new ATH-IM series of in-earphones. For a very limited period only, don't miss it! Whats the price for the IM04?

QUOTE(sheenho @ May 11 2014, 04:07 PM) Personally, I wouldn't recommend you on the upgrade because W1000 kinda sucks for rock music. The cans are slow and sound abit distant. Instead of W1000, why don't you go for AD2000x? It goes well with the genres you mentioned. Especially acoustic, you will be eargasm of the guitar plucking in acoustic, the electric guitar being 'goreng' for rock music. Yes. The W1000 sucks for rock.

Tried the IM-04 today. It was good. Still had the AT mids but I think it's overly thick and lacks warmth. Still has the AT house sound. I personally felt the DITA was more balanced than the IM-04 and would pick the Ditas over the IM-04.
