QUOTE(Vincent6596 @ Aug 24 2021, 01:19 AM) Hi sifu, The Leadex Platinum is better simply because it has LLC+DC-DC, rather than the ACRF primary on the EVGA (the ACRF design on the EVGA can lead to things like coil whine on high transient power GPUs like the 3080Ti, due to hard switching), but the Super Flower has no proper reviews so might be better to pick another one want to ask that want to upgrade my psu 1st for future to upgrade my gtx 1070 to rtx 3080 ti graphic card. which psu to go is more better ? budget currently thinking is rm 1k 1. SUPERFLOWER Leadex Platinum SE 80 Plus Platinum Full Modular Power Supply 1000W 2. EVGA SuperNOVA 1000W G+ 80 Plus Gold Full Modular PSU However the Leadex Platinum SE is listed as a Tier A PSU, so it might be fine Also I think the G+ is EOL'ed, if the tier list is correct ...also do you really need 1kW PSUs? You can power something like an entry level HEDT build with it For RM1K - there are better choices out there, like this: https://www.lazada.com.my/products/corsair-...731297c11I&mp=1 IMHO a 850W unit should be fine for your machine, and the 3080Ti isn't worth it pricing-wise (the vanilla 3080 is better) This post has been edited by chocobo7779: Aug 24 2021, 02:05 AM Vincent6596 liked this post

QUOTE(chocobo7779 @ Jul 27 2021, 03:44 PM) Which 650W Cougar unit? Cougar is a consumer brand of HEC/Compucase, which is a rather well-known PSU manufacturer that also manufactures some EVGA/Corsair PSUs I've had the same Graphic card like his one. GTX 1060 (mine is 3GB)Some of their PSUs are actually fine (like the GX-S/GEX/GX-F), but their entry level models like the BXM/VTX/XTC/VTE are pretty mediocre That being said, it might be better to state your current PC hardware so that we can make a better recommendation I suspect the TNB unannounced maintenance fried my PC. Within 30 minutes on-off electric grid in my taman around 6-8 times. I think the PSU is finally dead 2 hours ago. Now using laptop Anyway, I've looked into Cougar 80+Gold unit and found 450W like you all recommended but it was sold out at RM170 Then i found Cougar 550W VTK550 80 Plus Bronze at RM145. Should i opt for Cougar 80+ Gold for its efficiency rating should i go for bigger 550W but lower efficiency rating (Bronze) at lower price? |

Hi guys, glad to know such a great community here. I'm new to PC building.
The PC I'm building is probably: i3-10100 H510M-AC DDR4 2666Mhz 8gb 256gb M.2 NVME Looking for a decent PSU for office desktop with a budget of <RM170 (is it enough?). Heard of a few recommendations in the earlier posts like: Cougar GX-S 450W, Cooler Master MWE Bronze V2 500W. But I can't seem to find any stock from suppliers across e-commerce or retailers. Appreciate if the sifus here can point me to the right direction. Thank you so much! This post has been edited by Hooo3389: Oct 24 2021, 05:12 AM |

Hi guys, recently both my motherboard and gpu suddenly kong and I am afraid it might be caused by my psu dealing damage over time? Not sure how to check so just want to replace for a peace of mind.
My current setup is: Intel i5-10400 Gigabyte H410M H V3 Klevv 2 x 8gb DDR4 2666Mhz Sapphire Radeon R9 390 1 x SDD, 1 x HDD All powered by SEASONIC M12 II 750 EVO. Currently looking to replace to a new unit but with limited budget at around 200-300.. Is CM's MWE 650 Bronze V2 sufficient? Found at shopee for about RM229. Or is there any better alternative? Thanks in advance! This post has been edited by Waliuuu: Oct 26 2021, 12:41 PM |
