The Corsair RM650 is the best of the lot, followed by the MWE Gold v2 (the V series v2 is a step up from the MWE v2) and the EVGA GA being the last - note that the EVGA GA is not recommended for nVidia Ampere cards due to the PSU can shut itself down due to transient power spikes from RTX3000 GPUs icon_idea.gif

The Bronze v2 isn't that much of an upgrade over your current unit, the RM650 is a much more substantial upgrade over the MWE Bronze v2 (Tier C -> Tier A) icon_idea.gif

Make sure to get the black label one, like this:
https://www.lazada.com.my/products/corsair-...ATyup6&search=1

...not the old orange label one, like this:
https://images.app.goo.gl/332Yw6c5tRMt7HjV9

If you do not need full modular cables, then there are plenty of options out there icon_idea.gif

The Leadex Platinum is better simply because it has LLC+DC-DC, rather than the ACRF primary on the EVGA (the ACRF design on the EVGA can lead to things like coil whine on high transient power GPUs like the 3080Ti, due to hard switching), but the Super Flower has no proper reviews so might be better to pick another one icon_idea.gif

However the Leadex Platinum SE is listed as a Tier A PSU, so it might be fine icon_idea.gif

Also I think the G+ is EOL'ed, if the tier list is correct hmm.gif

...also do you really need 1kW PSUs? You can power something like an entry level HEDT build with it sweat.gif

For RM1K - there are better choices out there, like this:
https://www.lazada.com.my/products/corsair-...731297c11I&mp=1

IMHO a 850W unit should be fine for your machine, and the 3080Ti isn't worth it pricing-wise (the vanilla 3080 is better) icon_idea.gif

my case clearance for psu is 160mm ngam ngam can fits the RM650

Btw how to know the tiers of the psu ya? wish to learn something new laugh.gif

currently im using mwe bronze v2 550w, powering rtx 3070 via daisy chain (<--- afraid the cables cannot take it during full load for a longer period, i saw the gpu runs 220w then i quickly stop the gpu usage)

i just came across some used psu (used less than half yr) ppl selling
*Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 750W
*NZXT C 750w
*Are they good? both selling less than rm350

Quite a few, probably these should do the trick:

https://www.lazada.com.my/products/adata-xp...8dKyuV&search=1
(XPG Core Reactor, probably the best unit out there)

https://www.lazada.com.my/products/super-fl...554bCmUFqB&mp=1
(Leadex III Gold)

https://www.lazada.com.my/products/cooler-m...21fRVk&search=1
(Cooler Master V850 v2)

https://www.lazada.com.my/products/msi-mpg-...LBwCoK&search=1
(MSI A850GF, note this one is a multirail unit so no daisy chaining)

https://www.lazada.com.my/products/nzxt-c-s...B7U9gE&search=1
(NZXT C850, essentially a Seasonic Focus rebrand)

It's a Tier A unit, but low priority because of improperly set over temperature protection, and power regulation isn't great either:
https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/therma...psu,5822-4.html

The NZXT C750 is better because it's based on a newer Seasonic Focus platform (not the older Seasonic Focus that is prone to power trips on high transient power GPUs, like RTX3000 series) icon_idea.gif
https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nzxt-c...supply-review/6

However noise performance isn't very good, so keep that in mind icon_idea.gif

What exact PSU make and model?  Some multirail PSUs may not like daisy chaining cables as it may cause overcurrent protection to kick in icon_idea.gif

Which 650W Cougar unit?  Cougar is a consumer brand of HEC/Compucase, which is a rather well-known PSU manufacturer that also manufactures some EVGA/Corsair PSUs icon_idea.gif

Some of their PSUs are actually fine (like the GX-S/GEX/GX-F), but their entry level models like the BXM/VTX/XTC/VTE are pretty mediocre icon_idea.gif

That being said, it might be better to state your current PC hardware so that we can make a better recommendation wink.gif

I've had the same Graphic card like his one. GTX 1060 (mine is 3GB)
I suspect the TNB unannounced maintenance fried my PC. Within 30 minutes on-off electric grid in my taman around 6-8 times.
I think the PSU is finally dead 2 hours ago. Now using laptop

Anyway, I've looked into Cougar 80+Gold unit and found 450W like you all recommended but it was sold out at RM170
Then i found Cougar 550W VTK550 80 Plus Bronze at RM145.

Should i opt for Cougar 80+ Gold for its efficiency rating should i go for bigger 550W but lower efficiency rating (Bronze) at lower price?

Do not buy PSUs based on efficiency as it is not an indication of quality icon_idea.gif

The 80+ certification does not dictate quality, in fact those 80+ certification are can be manipulated, see here:

It's a group regulated PSU that is no longer suitable for modern PCs anymore:
https://www.techpowerup.com/277661/cougar-a...-power-supplies

https://linustechtips.com/topic/1122694-why...in-2019-and-on/

Look for something like the MWE Bronze v2 (note the v2), or up your budget for something like the Asus TUF Gaming Bronze (essentially a Corsair CX with some component swaps):

Hi guys, glad to know such a great community here. I'm new to PC building.

The PC I'm building is probably:
i3-10100
H510M-AC
DDR4 2666Mhz 8gb
256gb M.2 NVME

Looking for a decent PSU for office desktop with a budget of <RM170 (is it enough?).

Heard of a few recommendations in the earlier posts like: Cougar GX-S 450W, Cooler Master MWE Bronze V2 500W.
But I can't seem to find any stock from suppliers across e-commerce or retailers.

Appreciate if the sifus here can point me to the right direction. Thank you so much!

Hi guys, recently both my motherboard and gpu suddenly kong and I am afraid it might be caused by my psu dealing damage over time? Not sure how to check so just want to replace for a peace of mind.

My current setup is:
Intel i5-10400
Gigabyte H410M H V3
Klevv 2 x 8gb DDR4 2666Mhz
Sapphire Radeon R9 390
1 x SDD, 1 x HDD
All powered by SEASONIC M12 II 750 EVO.

Currently looking to replace to a new unit but with limited budget at around 200-300.. Is CM's MWE 650 Bronze V2 sufficient? Found at shopee for about RM229. Or is there any better alternative?

Thanks in advance!
