We have been notified, in limited instances, where some issues may occur when a FOCUS power supply is used in conjunction with certain high power consumption GPU or brand of VGA cards. If you experience possible compatibility issues, please check the below information and contact us for further assistance:
FOCUS PLUS & ASUS GTX970 STRIX: In very limited instances black screen may occur under heavy VGA usage. Current testing showed that certain VGA cards may emit higher than normal ripple when under heavy load and using a modified PCIe cables with enhanced shielding resolved the issue.
FOCUS PLUS & Vega 56/64: For units with serial numbers before January 2018, in rare instances, possible system shutdown may occur when GPU is under heavy load. This is possibly caused by higher than normal peak current emitted by this particular range of GPU's when under heavy load triggering the PSU’s internal protection safety.
Hi, just wanted to know how was your experience with the fsp.
I previously had one, using for a couple of years (should be 3 years plus), then had a mobo failure followed by ram and processor. Not gaming pc btw
In the end, I just got a new one PC and no more headache.
its all good until 3rd years sometime my pc sudden off, maybe im not lucky enough got people out there using same hexa+ as me can tahan until 5 years. btw never cheap for psu, invest more to protect the whole rig.

The irony is I spent RM200+ to replace my AVF PSU to the FSP to prevent this problem in the first place

yeah sometimes electronics thing tends to kaput just after warranty finish. thats why i am looking psu with longer warranty period, this time i buy used super flower leadex silver which still got 4 years warranty left.
Hey guys, so i recently bought a pre built pc that comes with a Deepcool DA700 power supply unit (link below ) but the cable for power adapter it comes with is not for Malaysian power socket.
Im assuming in terms of compatiblity power wise it should not be a problem. But I want to buy another power supply adapter that can fit into a Malaysian socket.
My question is, is there any specification I need to be aware of? In terms of voltage or whatnot?

Majority of the PSU sold here is compatible. Just that it depends how much you are willing to spend. You get what you pay for the same power level. 500W at RM350 definitely will stomp 500W at RM150 due to hardware quality, significantly better performance and cleaner electricity.

I intend to keep the power supply unit. Just looking to replace to power cable from PSU to electrical socket. Worried that there are some specs that I need to take note of. The power supply is working, but I can't bear to always needing a universal adapter to plug into the socket

DA700 is 100-240V. Yes, you can even change the cable to use our socket.

It has worldwide power input i.e. 100-240V as TristanX said, so all you need is either an universal adapter, or buy a power supply cable here (note that the power cables used by PC power supplies are IEC C13/C14 cables)
For those who want to read actual PSU reviews (like those reviews TechPowerup made), the well-known Chinese reviewer Expreview has started his own site: http://www.fcpowerup.com
itocp.com is also a good one too, and these two websites often review PSUs that are not sold in western markets (usually such units are sold here as well)
