Battery not concern for me, the laptop as ddesktop laptop power on all time n connect to 22" monitor. Arrr y580 or y500 headache

anyone here with y400 SLI?
hows the cooling between y400 and y500.
the question i ask because i don't need the SLI now, but maybe for future game,
if the y500 is cooler than y400 due to bigger chassis, will get the Y500 with single GPU but only is AP set.
any rumor local set y500 come with single GPU?

improve temperature of Y580
option 1 = SSD in HDD original location, HDD swap to ODD or
option 2 = mSata SSD install slot, HDD swap to ODD, leave the original HDD slot empty

i outstation working, holiday will come back home once in a while.
So question above Y580 or Y500, which one longer lifespan
Y580 with integrated HD4000 and GT660M or
Y500 with GT650 solder to motherboard + GT650 SLI

the laptop come pre-install with W8 without the win8 CD.
