Here's a video showing the improvement in GPS satellite signal reception with the re-radiating antenna. Please take note on the red LED light on the lower right hand corner, which indicates that the antenna is powered on and off.
Installation method as follows, quite straight forward:

but have to install outside of the car??
Yup, the outdoor antenna needs to be put outside of the car, or at least far from the internal antenna. This is due to the re-radiating function of the internal antenna, if you put the outdoor antenna inside the car, the outdoor antenna will pick-up the signal from the internal antenna and the signal will be running in loop rather than amplifying it.

If raining how? Cable not long enough if route to boot
The external antenna is designed for outdoor use. I have had it on my car for almost a year and it still looking good. Never need to remove it even going for car wash with pressure jet.
The cable length is almost 5 meter, depending on the size of your car, routing to boot might be possible.

can use for phone?
Hi, yes it's suitable for any devices that is using GPS signal e.g. phones, tablets, standalone GPS, etc. Since its function is to amplify the GPS signal inside the car.
Hi, kindly share the photo of the gps unit on your car. How do you secure on the roof? 3M double tap? Can it withstand the heat of the car body under the sun? so the cable can be seen?
kindly provide photos to show us.
thank you.

Sure, will capture some pictures later.
It's with magnetic base, so no need any tapes. The magnet is very strong as I don't have any problems so far even with the high pressure cleaner from the car wash centers.
It's designed for outdoor usage, so far no problem with the heat & rain after more than 1 year's usage.
The cable will be exposed slightly and then you can hide it along the rubber door seal.

A quick picture showing how I installed the external antenna. The magnetic base will hold tight to the roof and then I run the cable hidden under the weather seal of the door opening.
COD with seller today, coincidentally today's weather is the best condition to test, as my phone is not getting any GPS signal, after turning on it, my phone got GPS signal within a few second..
