Did you register earlier during the ROI (Registration of Interest)?

If you didn't, then you have missed the chance already and don't blame Maxis.

If you did do the ROI, then yes you can blame Maxis.

Sorry to hear that bro. But surprising that you are with Maxis for 5 years but yet didn't receive. FYI, I'm only with Maxis for less than 1 year (after quitting the lousy 'Yellow' contract earlier). Maybe need time for them to update the system?

I'm not MOC member too, but did get the confirmation.

Looks to me like Maxis still the most worth it. Digi should actually give better plans since their 3G is kind of like the worst amongst all telco (from my experience at least).

Hopefully not. I don't want to many people eating up the bandwidth and clogging the lines.

But I guess most people will go for Digi, like those on a budget of only RM 60.

Yes, and I was 'conned' by it earlier. Had to live with their spotty 3G for 2 years of suffering.

Better to go for White iPhone 5. The edges are seem more durable as scratches won't be that visible. But I just love my black iPhone 5 (currently on Singapore set) look since it looks exclusive. White iPhone 5 is similar to iPhone 4/4S.

From my experience, people actually played with it. Maybe boring while waiting in the queue.
Anyway, I'm sure many users would already be sporting SG-sets iPhone 5 at the launch, like myself. Bring up the spirit a bit!

I'm a Maxis postpaid user for less than a year. Sometimes pay my bills late also.
So can't really be those criteria.
But if it is, worth a shot to ask Maxis double-check.

I was using Note 2 for about 1 month before using iPhone 5 (SG set) now.

The maps app for iPhone 5 is totally crap (at least from my experience in Malaysia).
But I don't even use Google Maps anyway.
Just use Waze. The best GPS navigation app available. Free even!

Overall usage you will find the iPhone 5 is much lighter, easy to hold, easy to type message, has the best keyboard for any phone now, superior quality apps, superior built-in speaker, top-class exquisite build quality (glass and aluminium with diamond-chaffered edges), easy to keep in pocket, very superior camera (Note II cam is crap), excellent bundled earpods, lightning charger is cool, etc etc.

Definitely much later only. Perhaps after the launch weekend.

You can't compare to last year. Demand for iPhone 5 is way different than with iPhone 4S, bro. I remember when I was at iPhone 4 Maxis launch at Gardens (2nd day), those people that lined up without pre-registration, ended up had to go home empty handed. Imagine about at least 3 hours of their time queuing wasted, just like that.

If you purposely go line up that day, and Maxis doesn't allow once it reach your turn, how would you feel? Just a thought.

If you have time to waste, then of course different story.

SMS is so rare now with iPhone.

iMessage and WhatsApp is what you will be using most of the time. So Maxis's plan strategy is quite impressive actually in this regard.

I think we should clarify to all here.

For those who did not pre-register for Maxis launch at Cap Square, it's better off to queue up at MEP and Maxis Centres and have high chance to get the phone.

Only those that pre-register for launch event, should go to Cap Square.

If it is an invitation-only event, then it will be exclusive and within closed doors, like what I experienced in Gardens before when Maxis launched iPhone 4.

I dunno. But maybe it's worth it for the non-registered peeps to try their luck. Just that those that have registered would have peace of mind. I might even snag more iPhone 5 units if given the chance at point of purchase.

That means you have missed a step.

I did get my confirmation number without any slot booking.

However, after checking again, there seems to be another page where you need to pre-book your iValue package and pick-up time slot.

If you just go line up with only the confirmation number and a blank time slot, then you will not be in their list since their list contains timeslot-assigned people.

But unfortunately, there will still be people queueing up even without anything. Kinda depressing actually for those people.

Maybe if I see any lost souls queueing for the event, I might just tell them "Actually, but what are you lining up for?"

You can get on 14th, but only at MEP and Maxis centres, not at the Launch Event in Capsquare.

The event in Capsquare will very likely be like previous Maxis iPhone launch events, whereby your confirmation slip / Passbook screen will be your ticket to the pick-up area. Maybe you can bring 1 or 2 additional guests inside but that's about it I guess.
