It's time to change the tyres already since there's no thread left. What new tyres you've replaced it with?

well, by looking at the tread wear, you alignment is purposely set for touge, huh brows.gif , more stability on fast corner but some sacrifice on inner sidewall wear due to uneven weight distribution. hence, inner sidewall crack. this happened to any tires with such setting. even my asymmetric had the same problem.

hmm... wear and tear i understand,
but if the cracked is on the tread's area i can accept,
but now is at the sidewall leh...
i checked my tires pressure regularly,
pump in 34psi for front and 32psi for rear.

Standard camber setting only woh.. rolleyes.gif whistling.gif
but this Hankook Ventus S1 Evo's sidewall indeed softer than my first set tires RE001 and current RE002.

mind to share your photo?

oops someone spotted it laugh.gif

btw i also have my camber around negative 1-1.5ish, wonder if i'll face the same problems for my c drive 2... supposedly shouldn't considering its a very soft tire ><

exactly! we all go touge / wangan on normal camber setting whistling.gif
btw, am no longer keep the picture but the crack was in vertical shape while yours is horizontal.
was fitted on a slow fr car with minor burnouts.
re001's sidewall is stiffer and had a better steering feel over the re002.

due to the uneven weight distribution, driven over prolonged time, inner sidewall will be softer / more wear than the outer. after 6 months, if you remove the wheels, it will not stay still but sway and drop towards the inner sidewall direction. its dangerous to swap it from rear to front. during cold start up temperature, front end may sway excessively upon minimal steering input.

hmm been using the tires for around a year ady with the same camber settings
will really need to try out the tire dropping part

also, if i cant swap front/rear, how am i supposed to rotate the tires properly? (been doing rotations as normal ~every 10k km sweat.gif )

its not that you can't swap but be careful not to drive fast in corner during cold start up where tires is not at its optimum operation temperature yet.

If chamber is normal, then might be not enough air in tyre
