Greeting guys! It's my first time to create a worklog. This is my second mod for my second rig. I didn't open worklog for my first mod because I don't know how to start one. laugh.gif

The aim of this mod is to make this casing looks nicer, sleek and 'filled'.
To suits my theme which is black and blue, I used MSi motherboard and graphic card instead of ASUS although my first rig is all ASUS. MSi is not bad too eh.
No watercooling for this mod. It's just a simple rig to play low-end game and downloading. Furthermore me poorfag. sad.gif

Alright I don't know what to say already. POTATO

Specs :

Intel Core i3-2100 3.10GHz
G.SKILL 4GB DDR3 1333
MSi P67A-C45 (B3) (going to RMA it, temporary using asus mobo)
MSi R6670 MD1GD3
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB
FSP HEXA 500W
CM Elite 311 Plus

Future upgrade :
Hyper 212+ (will get it from my first rig when I buy watercooling kit for it.)
RAM with blue heatsink nod.gif

Will update pics later. currently still sleeving 24pin and 8pin extender. icon_rolleyes.gif

Update 1

Done sleeving my 24pin and 8pin extender. I'm very satisfied for the result although some of the heatshrink is uneven. Lucky me can get PSU removal tool so that progress moves faster.

Here's how the casing looks like :

So the first thing I do is remove the HDD cage at the bottom. After that, go on to the bezel on the front.
There's a silver colour frame. Going to spray it to blue tomorrow. EVERYTHING BLUEEE.
I forgot to bring back the frame. Google up. flex.gif

Update 2

Done cutting out the acrylic panel for the psu cover.
user posted image

Tried to look for some MSi wording and I found this. pretty cool tho.
user posted image

Flipped the word horizontally and paste it on the panel. As y'all can see there's still some space left. Considering to design a logo for this project.
For the bigger panel, I need help. Is it necessary to put a fan on there? Because after putting the panel, the intake in the casing is pretty bad I guess. hmm.gif
user posted image

Cutted a lil part of the HDD cage so the panel can fit perfectly. Since it's midnight, I use File to do it. Silence and effective.

Voila !

Since I'm not going to WC, the tube hole is going to be underutilized. I remove the rubber and insert the vandal switches and it fits ! rclxm9.gif
Got two of the vandal switches, Maybe it's time for some UV.

cannot sleep so just do some of it. tongue.gif

Update 3

Paint job done. Sprayed with Samurai paint Fluorescent blue. Took a long time to do this because the HDD tool free paint keep stripping out. Or maybe because I sprayed it too thick. Impatience me. sweat.gif
user posted image

Glowing line.
user posted image

Design for psu cover. Spraying this tomorrow while waiting for fan grill to arrive.
user posted image

To cover the 5.25 bay because the fan controller wire is making it looks messy, I make this cover.

user posted image

Sprayed it matt black and did something biggrin.gif planning to make hole on it to insert SATA cable inside and come out at the bottom.

Things left to do:
Spraying the PSU cover.
CCFL Switch wiring and installing.
Cable management.
