rclxms.gif probably the partition got problem, wp8 filing system is a bit tedious, you can't rename anything in the phone once you copied it inside, you have to rename it first in pc before moving.

Just got my lime Lumia 620 few days ago, UI are very smooth and no hang or sudden restart so far. These are my findings:

1. There are no phone profile for it, like 'General', 'Silent' or create a custom profile with different loudness and ringtone. WP8 only can switch between 'ring+vibrate' or 'Vibrate'.

2. Theme and background color are really limited. Only 20 colors to choose for theme; Light (white) or dark for background.

3. Glossy back cover look nice, but not practical. Fingerprint everywhere and slippery if your hand is moist.

4. Buttons are fine. Some forumer complain about the shutter button, but I find it OK, tactile enough.

5. Been using Whatapps for 2 days, so far so good (didn't try the voice feature though).

6. Short battery life. On full charge with unnecessary stuff off, Wi-Fi only will last a day, 2G only last 3/4 day, 3G didn't test but should be worst.
I would recommend it if the battery perform much better...

Anyone using third party battery with larger capacity? How was it?

There will be a major windows phone upgrade, not sure what the changes will be same with windows 8.1 or not, but windows 8.1 indeed able to use custom background which I think might implement into windows phone

You can buy a coat for it rolleyes.gif

whatsapp might crash from time to time due to apps compatible problem, you might need to restart the phone, don't say I didn't warn you brows.gif

LINE works better than whatsapp and been updated 3 times since I bought the phone and none for whatsapp yet.

Economic phone sure got some low, Lumia720 got better battery life, get a battery bank then. My phone don't last a day, need to charge everyday, sometimes twice biggrin.gif

I think it can exist in one phone, locked to imei. Once you move to lumia, ipad one will be obsolete

i just buy new set lumia 620 about  5 days ago, at 2nd day the phone suddenly vibrate by itself even after remove and insert the battery, batery only last 2-3 hours. 3rd day sent back to shop, and the shop say no 1-1 exchange and advise check with nokia centre.

anyone here have same problem before? if sent to nokia service, are they replace the batery or phone unit immediately if defect found?

cry.gif  feel bad experience for 1st time using window smartphone.
*
no having such problem, but do have phone reboot from time to time only. Try send to Nokia service centre, maybe you get a defective battery

I see. Then better remove sim card password. If not, it will stuck at enter sim password screen and your phone is in offline mode...
*
It is rare for people to lock simcard password, the phone itself got the password lock system on the main screen

L620 tend to reboot itself when running cpu/memory intensive apps, maybe a safe precaution to prevent OS corruption or bad apps programming.

One thing good for storage system, you can put to skydrive and access it anywhere, never lost your captured photo, it always saved to skydrive, just wipe your phone photo, get it back at skydrive :-)

p.s. my photo captured are saved in sd card, it can be set, besides certain folder can be created at sd card and the phone still able to read them like internal memory

if you use windows 7/8, I don't it is a problem transferring files from pc to phone or vice versa, just don't manipulate the files after your moved them to phone, do it at your pc before moving.

In terms of stability, I think Android also not much of stable as I know from certain people using it, they still occur crash, shutdown, need removing battery to restart and most important, always out of memory :-D

Mine also updated this morning, takes me more than an hour to upgrade!!

First say not enough spaces to update (I got 900+MB prior upgrade, after all the files downloaded, I got only 130MB left!), I keep deleting games to get around 750+MB then the upgrade resume.

After that is the dreaded spinning screws, maybe anxious about it, 15 minutes like an hour to me :-D

Some data migrating (another 15-20 minutues i think) phone start up and suddenly auto restart again :-|

After that phone back to normal, not notice anything special (can anyone tell me what new?) except the data sense apps included

One thing I would suggest to Nokia (or Microsoft)is to change the wording, don't write goodbye, it is really nervous when phone say goodbye to me :-D

When the phone was updating, I was telepathically telling my phone "its gonna be alright, every will be over soon, you gonna make it through i promise"

im weird lol

biggrin.gif I just mean they should put shutting down or restarting or just switching off or more friendly see you soon, rather than a phone telling you goodbye...not a good omen blush.gif

Do I need to backup all the phone before I update to amber???

You might need to spare some spaces on the phone before upgrade (around 1.5GB) and around 1 hour time cool2.gif
