Finally get my lumia 620 yesterday. Mine is black although i wanted a yellow so much. What to do, no stock and hand itchy d.

Quite new to win phone 8, first impression is the UI is silky smooth although this is an entry level phone. After playing with it for few hours, here are my personal thoughts for win phone 8.

Pros:
1. UI is smooth, like the live tiles so much
2. Market is not bad as i thought, lots of useful apps
3. Dedicated camera button, very useful for taking photos, the shutter sound can be turned off as well. Good for candid shot. Nokia bundle with a series of camera app, pretty useful
4.and a lot more for u to explore....

Cons:
1. No native file explorer
2. Keyboard can't change, no tactile feedback when typing
3. No data usage monitor by default
4. Facebook app and whatsapp not that user friendly compared to android version

It's still a good phone at this price. No regret of getting it. Hehe

can post some pic of your black one? and is it there is one frame in black colour around the screen? so even replace the back cover, still will see that black circle around the screen?

how is the battery life of this phone? could it last more than a day with minimal usage? (phone stuff and some multimedia) (internet with wi-fi with no 3g)

ppl who had bought that phone pls do a review here, very interested to get this phone, thnx.

Is the black cover a matte finish? Is there some texture to it or does it feel like plastic?

Can turn off the focus assist light in camera setting.

It quite useful for taking picture of the object that will glow in dark.

which shop at DM are selling RM689 for lumia 620? mind to tell ? thx, i need to get one unit 2morrow.

my small review after 2 days of usage.

Pros:
- build quality is nice for its price, much much better than lumia 710.
- loud speaker is very loud.
- camera light focus assist is awesome.
- nokia drive for free navigation.
- whatsapp performance is great, compared to wp7, need around 1 sec or less to start the app.
- lcd is nice, color is vibrant, viewing angle is nice but the color run when view from side. better than lumia 710 a lot.
- smooth like all others wp
- IE is fast
- nice notification in lockscreen
- sd card slot
- case is changeable, and case is thick, might good for drop protection.
- wifi and cell signal(call and 3G) are very good!
- Facebook album photo load very fast.

Cons:
- camera is so so only.
- Nokia drive not as good as google maps when come to navigation and traffic info.
- lack of ringer feature. you can only have combination of ring+vibrate -> vibrate or ring + no vibrate -> no vibrate. i usually want ring + no vibrate -> vibrate when silent.
- can't change sms tone to custom tone.
- a little thick at 11mm.
- No official google apps and facebook apps, and no dropbox

I try not to include those feature that are standard for WP8, this pros and cons are for lumia 620 itself.

No battery review as i just use it for 2 days. So far the battery performance is on par with galaxy nexus that i use previously. The battery is quite small at 1300mah, but it paired with latest S4 procrossor and Adreno 305 which is less power consuming than older Adreno 225 GPU.

For this price point, the cons are actually bearable, because you wont get a better phone with this performance at this price.

For example, an Android phone at this price wont run those google apps or facebook apps at best experience, but i believe if those apps come to wp in future, it will run alot better than the android phone at this price range.

bro, the black 1 is matte surface, a bit rubber-ish feel if u know wat i mean. not very plasticky compared to other colour. here comes the pic.

1. Switch to non Malaysia marketplace.
2. That's the auto focus light most probably, go photo settings, scroll down, you'll see a focus assist light option, turn it off and press save to keep it off all the time.

matte surface mild scratches can remove right? overread somewhere else, not sure what method.

any1 know which nokia branch selling lime/yellow 620 with good gifts?

Unable to change sms tone to custom tone sound bad, how about the Ringtone ?
what mean by no official facebook apps ? i saw it in the list at microsoft official pages ..
