bought my pilot super sport early this year and used for about 10k km only..... just noticed that it's worn down to the wear indicator already. That's pretty fast considering it's rated at 300 thread wear...

but then... it's a pretty good tire..... very good dry grip. can't say about wet grip as I dun push when it's raining. wears evenly..... I'm just surprised at the wear rate only..... Anybody has any alternative to this tire? gotta give almost the same dry grip but better threadwear....

I used older Michelin Pilot Preceda before with treadwear under 300 and still looks good (around 50-60%) after about 20K km before I sold the car.

No wor. Slow driver.... occasionally sprint from stand still or fast corners.... but no tire screeching type of driving.

Anyway, maybe can try Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2 if got the size. I read it got a lot of very good reviews compared to others.
I myself is using F1-D5 which is slightly below the Asy2. Also TW 300, but only have been using for only about 4 mths now, still look like new.

maybe I inflated it to incorrect pressure? but it wears evenly and I follow manufacturer's guide.....

im using PS3 but normally i drive slow but i do handbrake turn in parking very frequently. Sometimes do on public road (when the road is empty of coz just to train a little).

On and off when do spirited driving, I brake hard hard sometimes overdid it until tyre screech with marks on the road. Sometimes sapu corner also...

Sometimes i drag and launched at 5k rpm (for the fun of it) until wheelspin like hell...

having done all the above, still got lots of thread...after 20k km

I think you're over inflating your tyres.

Tyres definitely last longer than 10k.

Why everyone is using different model to give comparison anyway?

PSS is super expensive tires...for 225 40 18 is about rm1k a piece, correct me if im wrong.

265/40/18 on a porsche.... cost RM1.5k each..... talked to my mechanic last nite and he says it's NORMAL!!!! average is around 15k km..... I'm thinking of getting conti next... but lodsa ppl told me not to....

No, TS is just looking for a tyre that can give good performance but last a bit longer. Money is not the main consideration, perhaps value for money in something that last longer than just 10K KM

Mich pss are good tires. Comfort and performance. But agree on its ridiculous pricing and average treadlife. My friend bought his pss in sg, can get cheaper.

Y not asymmetric 2, cheaper but still good. Decent life. Oem on new 911 if im not wrong

ad08 should be really good on dry grip, though i believe treadwear/wet grip/nvh may be on the low side.

pricing wise i think it shouldn't be too expensive considering the price you have to pay for your tire sizes anyways.

i think TS mean slow driver which is slow for Porsche car..

240km/h++ is still slow for Porsche

for Myvi is superfast..since myvi odometer only got 220km/h

i used csc3, potenza re050 & now on pss. pss provides comfort without sacrifying performance; i mean real performance.

He he look like my changed on the tyre shop didn't wrong advised me to gy assurance fuel max.

For michelin need to claim for warranty and take long time also.

since PSS only comes on 18inch wheels. i just wondering how the Michelin Primacy Hp perform? since the price is quite expensive too...my car use 205/55/16 stock so planning to use same stock spec but wanna tri Primacy HP

PSS is godly tires.....the only other tires able to match with it is....the legendary PS2.....better in the dry...but wet a bit slippery...and they dun last long too......conti CSC3 not so good..CSC5 more for comfort.....Goodyear quality is unpredictable...if you wanna gamble....GY F1A2

Always look for XL (extra load) version for stiffer sidewall great for fast driving

Many international reviews actually place Assy 2 higher than PSS. Assy 2 has better wet braking compared to PSS im told. But a 235-45-18 Assy 2 tyre only costs about 900 while a PSS of a similar size costs between 1100-1250 depending on the shop. Thats a good 200-350 difference per tyre.

But ive never heard about tyres being worn after only 10k mileage. Even if you practice hard braking and cornering, it shouldnt wear so fast.

Are u sure about the pricing? Something doesnt sound right. A Michelin PSS 225-45-18 costs RM 1090 at Tyrezone Taman Megah while Lim Tayar TTDI charges RM 1250. Both are before nego prices.

How then could a 16inch Primacy HP cost more? Doesnt make sense.

Thanks. Will give them a call. But with Lim Tayar TTDI, i used to get good pricing which was even cheaper than Tyrezone and also cheaper than many shops in Ipoh. Ive changed tyres for 4 of our family's cars here. But since 2012 ive noticed that their prices have gone up quite a bit. Not sure why.

Cheapest place to change wheels actually is just drive down to Singapore. A lot of my family members do that while they visit relatives and friends.

The same Goodyear EF1A2 cost nearly 200 ringgit cheaper per piece compared to the same tyre sold here

Yeah serious. Tires are cheaper to buy in Singapore. 19 inch or 20 inch or 21 inch tires aren't much more expensive to each other compared to here. Just recently my friend changed his 19 inch tires for 330SGD... Michelin brand.

My latest price check at Lim Tayar TTDI was RM 1170 for Michelin PSS (225-45-18) and RM 890 for Goodyear Assy 2 (235-45-18).

Difference of almost Rm300, I'd just go with the cheaper GYEF1A2. Rm1120 savings is nothing to scoff at plus hard compound like what Quazacolt said, should be longer lasting.

Just did a check with Tyrezone and their pricing for the Michelin PSS is RM 1090. RM 200 difference compared to Assy 2. So that works out to RM 800 difference which i agree isnt a small figure. But im somewhat inclined towards Michelin probably due to my previous experience with the XM2.

if u see carefully the web the price of primacy hp for 275/35R19 tire is cost higher than PSS price.

if me , considering falken azenis PT-722 or Azenis FK453 is a great tire too.
