After updated to JB, my wife complaining that her S3 got some issue on charging and also rebooting itself for couple of times in a day..

Look like I need to bring to SC soon..

Ok, officially I have sent my wife's S3 to SC PJ this afternoon, as it went dead completely while charging this morning.. rclxub.gif cry.gif

Maybe I have wait at least for 1 week to get my MOBO replace..

Seems like S3 are getting more issue on Dead Phone, ? Is it only for 1st Batch?

+1 Agreed to that, I has been worked in Electronic Manufacturing/Assembly Line (Japanese / South Korea) Company before in Malaysia. They not compromise in THEIR QC Section ( checked 150% on their finished goods), slightly defect, they will reject immediately, no rework.. So, therefore, the QC are really superb , I could say no matter where the device are manufacture..

Rule of thumb

Out of 100 maybe 8-13 set might got defect so it will 13% so, sales already hit millions, just do own calculation

You are right bro, there is no official statement from Samsung regards to this issue, what I meant in my statement is the The General Rule of Thumb for every electronics devices that are produced/manufactured (no matter what devices are). Therefore, there are some device out there in rest of the world of which is not reported or the end user do not want to highlight ... Normally I don't speculate because this is electronics device, we never know when the devices give give way (dead)... sweat.gif

Wow..that really sucks and the count is huge if put on S3 sales volume. Roughly around 3 millions handphones.

This only General Defect Rate (Info given by QC Senior Manager - Japanese Guy two years ago when I was attached to Japanese Manufacturing Company few years ago..

We just talking about MOBO defect only right now, how about on

1) Hair Line Cracked which some end users reported in earlier post..
2) Charger which is defect..

All these defects are in the General Defect Rate, my fren.. So if we calculate the numbers of defects, it is huge..

So far all we know is only from this forum, how about other forum..
Then again I might be wrong on these.. So I keep my comments to myself...

Nearly three & half weeks, I sent it mid last month, I received call from SC about 12pm today, I went to SC, took my no for collection, waiting about 10 ppl or so, when my turn called, I checked every thing including the charging as i took my original charger with me.. All went well .. I am charging now about 1.7 hrs, it now showing 98%... wait and see for couple of days..

I having 1 issue during surfing net via phone, when ever I surf the net, it keep going to first pages or exiting for Home screen, the rest of the Apps are working flawless.. Any help, Guys?

I have noticed that my battery drain really fast after I took from SC (MOBO changed due SOD Issue).. Charged full 100% 2.5 hrs .. Drained almost to 87% within two hours (Running JB Stock 4.1.1 Rom).. Is that normal guys?

Thanks for info, I thought that was bit high battery drain after changing MOBO recently.. Prevoiusly I will get around 22hrs for kind of usage. I guess maybe I might miss something..

Did U checked the charging at Service Centre during ur collection time.. As I did that and they showed me it was charging accordingly.. Up 1% in 10 minutes, because my battery was bit low that time..
