QUOTE(terry3386 @ Dec 15 2012, 11:24 AM) gotten back my S3 yay~ But it auto updated to JB for me. So I would like to confirm if the root method still work with JB from the method at front page? Still working, but Samsung did something this time! It is well talk at XDA, all phone return from service center once root will appear a red dot (I think it is this ! symbol) on top left corner when you on the phone.Added on December 15, 2012, 6:56 pm QUOTE(prem87 @ Dec 15 2012, 04:23 PM) crap... my phone is dead.. woke up with my phone still plugged into the charger and its stuck on the "samsung galaxy i9300" screen... samsung center at federal highway closed at 1.. and the pyramid one even worse.. got 15 staff but no technician.. idiots ask me come after 7pm and 2morrow no service also.. so screwed! QUOTE(waveweaver @ Dec 15 2012, 11:32 PM) From the way I read at xda..it all coz of new bootloader. Yalo, seems was new bootloader issue, don't care la.......... haha!If the phone have new bootloader and you flash anything unofficial then then red dot will appear. What we can do is flash old bootloader via PC Odin in PDA section. |

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Dec 16 2012, 08:00 PM) Oo..man..that's really bad. Yalo, Samsung shall respond now, but no respond from them yet. It's bad enough when Mobo goes kaput because of flashing but to died on an untouch virgin phone.. Really hope Samsung acknowledge this problems and do something bout it The faulty issue is increasing now, and happen to virgin (non root or custom ROM) phone. I believe all 1st batch user will face this issue, it just timing only. 1st batch hardware probably had age limit within 160 to 190 days only.... ! |

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Dec 16 2012, 10:35 PM) Actually I think it was came with newer Jelly Bean official firmware. As I read, if you OTA, then you will getting new bootloader from Jelly Bean which having this red dot issue.Added on December 17, 2012, 10:51 am QUOTE(Reis @ Dec 16 2012, 10:36 PM) Unless I'm missing out something, I cannot flash the phone, there's no form of control to even try flashing the phone Your phone facing same well famous sudden dead issue. Is time send over to service center. No need try using any PIT to re-partition it, as I try all I can find, none is working. Service center report was motherboard faulty issue.Added on December 16, 2012, 10:37 pm ODIN can detect, but cannot push anything down to the phone. It always gives an error PIT file not available. When a PIT file is provided, it says partition failed. This post has been edited by Andrewtst: Dec 17 2012, 10:51 AM |
