Hi All,

Need your help to setup my Civic FD1 HU (Kenwood DDX5034) with full functions (well, almost).
I know I need to get the 2din HU panel, either from Honda (buy from type R configuration) or OEM and should be easy just to fix the HU in.
But if I were like to add in more functions, what to do next?
1) GPS ==> 1 of the model is KNA-G510. Regarless of any model, if I buy it from US, any idea how to get Malaysia maps? Download from Kenwood?
2) Reverse camera ==> any China brand oso can? accessories shop should be able to do right?
3) Steering control ==> I read it somewhere that I need a device / adapter. Any idea where to get it?
==> My Civic (FD1 S-L version) already has the steering control to the stock HU unit. So still need to get 1?

Many many thanks in advance. notworthy.gif

Get the type r one. Might be expensive but its worth it.

I dunno Kenwood still works together with Garmin or not. But garmin maps are fairly easy to get and updated from mfm.

Revere cam, a cheap one would survive. But the picture quality I dunno any diff with the branded ones. Mine is a China made which I dun even bother about who is the manufacturer.

Steering adapter, I dunno. I just disabled mine. But I think the ea guys could answer that for you, they have the expertise there.

Is it you meaning after adding-on the Kenwood GPS onto my Kenwood DVD, I can go download from Garmin and install the software?

u need to buy the gps module for the headunit first, just have to see if your hu is compatible or not, then u can dload msia maps in the memory card and use already. the module is cheaper overseas.
