 ipad 2 cant detect sim, after upgrade to ios6

hi all

i have an ipad 2 32gb 3g. when running 5.1.1 my ipad still can read my sim card. im using maxis 3g sim. but suddenly happens after im upgrade from ios 5.1.1 to ios 6.0.1 my ipad didnt detect sim. i tried to restore again, anll the same. have tried to put the sim into my friends ipad and its readable. now feel frustrated after upgrade it to ios 6.

any sifu can help me regarding this problem.

Erm, tried to reset network setting ? Or maybe do a full restore to factory setting with it and see whether problem still persist. Keep us updated. Good luck bro !

already performed fully restore via itunes and still the same? how come ios6 can damage the sim slot functionality

What about reset network setting ? Tried to put other sim cards into it ? If nothing works even with those reset, the only choice you have is to bring it back to Apple to have it checked.

yup.tried to put another sim. my ipad not detect any sim at all. even i put or eject nothing shown on screen

looks like it is the same prob as my wife ipad...bring to the apple centre(opposite of mid valley)..they have confirmed some hardware functionality..they will replace it with the brand new (without screen protector of course) in 1 week time..the ipad is still under warranty
