can i take the spm subjects up to 13? (becuz i also minat dlm BK)

EST study is easy, but scoring A is difficult. I always see my students all subjects A+ then suddenly EST B and C. check with your pro english teacher how to score it lo.

Geo can study yourself. its quite easy.

Guys , why does a high resistance nichrome wire supply more heat and brightness ?

From which equation does this concept come from ?
*
Heating element must have high resistance, both Nichrome and Tungsten are metals with high resistance, therefore there are used as heating elements in blow dryer, filament light bulb and even toaster.

Both of course have higher melting point compared to other metals, making them better metals to be used as heating elements.

As to why we choose higher resistance metal, the concept is Electrical Energy is converted to Heat Energy when current flows through a wire as power/ energy loss. Recall the formula P = I^2R, so the higher the resistance the more power/energy loss to become heat. cool2.gif

*yes there some errors in the marking schemes. cry.gif

Do u all actually know how marks are given for chemistry paper 2 essay, esp the one on describing an exp. We are only supposed to write procedure observations and inference right? Hope to clear my doubts about it.
*
Paper 2 Essay you should follow the requirement of the question.
They will list it down for you. If they need procedure, you write procedure, if they need observations, you write observations and so on

They won't mark points which is not required by the question.

Usually Paper 2 Chemistry experiment they only want you to write procedure, observation and conclusion from the observation. If its not stated, just write those 3 and more...

The simple rule is, if you have time, write as many points as possible. Increase your chances of getting full marks, just don't write nonsense or not related points. icon_idea.gif

Just to update : I was done with the Chemistry syllabus two days ago . Feel quite relieved . Now , heading on to Add Maths . Hopefully I'll finish it by this week so I can start focusing on the reading subjects , and languages .

Good strategy... and also go through more questions, so that you grasp how to write 'perfect answers' in chemistry.

Best of luck
